Supposedly he is up for trade. He makes about the same money as Bogey. Could the Jazz work some kind of possible 3-way trade (wouldnt think the Kings would want Bogey back due to age)?

Normally I would spit at the thought of trading for Barnes, but he's taken a big offensive leap this year. He's got two years left on his deal after this year on a descending contract.

I can't comment on his defense. His advanced defensive stats have always been underwhelming compared to the eye-test.

Can he hit the open 3 and can he take 3-6 good hard fouls against big wings in the playoffs? Then sure why not?

I think any trade for Barnes would look something like this.

Basically Bogey + one of the end of bench young dudes plus finding a 3rd team that will take Bogey and give up a 1st + decent young prospect.

Depends on what else we are giving. I think he's an upgrade but just not sure how big of an upgrade he is. Sacramento is a dumpster fire on defense. That isn't Barnes fault but just something to consider.

Why do the Celtics want Bogey instead of Barnes?

Not sure. I think the two are probably pretty even in overall value. Bogey might be better for Boston because he's less redundant to Tatum/Brown than Barnes is?

But the Jazz can sweeten the pot for the Kings, so that's who ultimately decides where Barnes goes. Maybe Boston sees it as a cheaper option since they have to give up one less piece to get Bogey. And doesnt everyone hate Ainge? Maybe Kings just tell Boston to shove it and they are going to take Bogey in a 3-way or they getting nada.

I think Barnes has more trade value because of age and he's more well rounded. On court value might be close to equal but I think perception would be that Barnes is more valuable I'm guessing.

If its basically straight up then sure. If it is us adding a first then I'd need to think about it.

Interesting idea. Effective iso / post up option. If his defending is a significant upgrade then well worth considering.

I think Bojan is moved in the offseason if Mike is retained.

I don't see many Bojan deals that I think make sense for us and the other party. This deal is good but I just don't think it makes sense for Boston.

Is this another one of LaVar’s kids?

NBA trade deadline is not till March 25
Plenty of time for everybody to do something including Jazz
