Why KOC? He's a top five GM, by far. For a better pick and so Corbin can be fired, sure. Then, we could hire Van Gundy who could do wonders with our young uns on the defensive end. But KOC, c'mon.

Nothing wrong with wanting a better pick, but yeah, if you want KOC fired, there's something seriously wrong with you. I think the technical term is called being a dumbass.

If you're really Harp, then I'm sorry about all de nasty things I said about you. It's really Boler that I hate. He's bringing you down.

I'm hoping for a better pick but I totally approve of KOC. The Jazz are loaded with young talent, have a probable lottery pick this year from Golden State, have a low payroll, and have a couple of trade exceptions to go along with several players that should be easily moved in a trade if needed.

How can you fault KOC for this? He's awesome. And he did the same thing after Stockton/Malone. The Jazz need to lock him up long term.

I'm not even really down on Corbin either. He's young and will likely get better as time goes on. And my only real complaints with him so far has been playing CJ Miles way too much, and not playing the young guys enough. There have been a few times when I thought he played the wrong guy at a certain time in a game, but not anywhere close to as bad as Sloan was in that regard.

I'm totally down with tanking the rest of the way to get a better pick though. The champion will have an asterisk in this lockout season anyway. And even if the champ didn't have an asterisk, the Jazz are 8th or 7th seed at best (if they can even make the playoffs). This is a deep draft, and the Jazz are really close to being very good. Might as well get the lottery pick, hopefully get Golden State's too, maybe make a trade in the offseason, and try again next year.

OK...So I edited my post. I did not want this to be a fire/not fire KOC. I just wanted to see if I was off base to see the Jazz tank to get a better pick. If the Jazz go on and loose 90% or their remaining games then Corbin's job would be in jeopardy.

This is actually pretty awesome to watch us lose a whole bunch of games. we just better not win too many and end up too far down in the lottery to hope for a big pick

I'd rather hire McMillan (Rumors are that he may get canned by the Blazers this year).

losing breeds losing, just look at the clippers (till this year), washington, nj. historically cleveland, atl
how many of you guys want the jazz to become the losers of the NBA, if they lose out this year you will pretty much see the jazz becoming a team like that

That sure did happen with Seattle/OKC. They were terrible a few years after the move, drafted some nice young guys, LET THEM PLAY and DEVELOP, and they still suck. Oh wait, they're one of the best teams in the NBA. Sticking with washed up vets and letting talented youngsters go undeveloped on the bench is a recipe for losing.

Quit with the "Fire Corbin" threads

He's only had 1 year on his belt and he really hasn't had a good amount of practice and training camp time with his players.
He's also got 2 players that have been with this offense > 2 years AND he changed Sloan's force middle defensive philosophy in a lockout season with short training camp. It's not easy to completely change your defensive scheme and not have enough time with your players to discuss and implement the changes.

I'm also not in favor of purposely tanking the season to get more lotto picks. Teams like Wizards and Kings have been in the lotto forever and yet have nothing to show for it. That being said, the Jazz are just not good enough to not tank this season. They just plain suck....so the lotto pick will come while trying to win.
