I confirm this issue. But it is intermittent.

Chrome did an update in mid-October and deprecated some functionality that the "nicer" quick reply and other reply-based boxes needed. I've had to disable those and go back to a more "standard" reply box but it will avoid this issue I believe. I'll watch and see if anything else is done either on our message board software (they've already said they will not be fixing this) or in Chrome to go back to the other reply box with the "nicer" options.

Nah, I'm on a Mac here at work. 10.6.8 if you can believe that and am running an older version of Google Chrome since it doesnt update anymore.
