What's new

Starting to get lazy on defense...

and it shows... I guess these guys think they can just go through the motions at home and get the job done...

Well, you still have to play the game...

We should have been exposing the Heat in the paint the entire game and we really didn't do that in the half court game... Deron had some crucial turnovers down the stretch, and at times Kirilenko can look outright brilliant passing the ball and at others, he looks like a mental patient trying to hump a doorknob...

Don't these guys realize that this is their chance to take a real strangle hold on the West with all of these home games in December?? How can a team get so much better defensively and play so poorly at home?? Well they are pissing away their chance to establish themselves as an elite team by playing lazy basketball... Poor passes, no movement on offense, and lazy team defense!

Turnovers seem to be the key stat that makes this team go, or just flat out STOP!! And we've been turning the ball over a lot more, which all started in the loss to the Mavericks...

I don't care what anybody says, this Miami Heat team is a pretender and they gave us chances to take over this game, but we turned the ball over and gave it right back to them...

It's a crying shame when you put yourselves in a position to control your own destiny by winning some hard fought games on the road, just to fumble away your chance to take a commanding lead as a #1 or #2 seed when the games get easier...

I want to start seeing this team play as hard at home as I've seen on the road... And if/when that happens, games like tonight won't even be close... Cmon Jazz, get your heads out of your asses!!

You are being a little too hard on the Jazz, granted they played soft in the first half but brought it in the second. Miami just had it going tonight. Lebron and Wade will score on you no matter what, but when big Z is knocking down 18" jumpers with 100% accuracy all you can do is tip your cap.

Well... When Z is wide open and your defensive rotation is stagnant to say the least, then guys get easy jumpers like that... During that 4-0 east road trip, it seemed as though the opposition got NO open shots in the 2nd half because guys were rotating on defense and playing with effort!

I saw very little of that tonight... I saw guys standing around on offense and on defense waiting for somebody else to make a play...

I'm starting to wonder if that Dallas game shattered their confidence a bit... If you're thinking that you can't beat the Spurs or Mavs, then you might tend to play with less effort and mental toughness in games like this...

After what I've seen what these guys can do on the road and against insurmountable odds, I expect them to beat an above average team with no post game, the Heat, like red headed step children, especially at home...

And I also expect them to at least be in the game against a team like the Mavs too... Tonight wasn't about talent... It was about effort and mental toughness... And the Jazz didn't have it..

It could be worse guys. We could have this still:

Fast forward to 6:00
