Anyone watching this on Netflix? Geared more towards a younger audience but it's not bad.

Just solid? We seem to have a similar taste, so that's a bit disheartening.

I like it a lot. It's very early Spielberg-ish with the writers/directors admittedly watching (and imo taking from) many, many 80's flicks. The main song throughout (like a quick heartbeat rhythm) is very reminiscent of Escape from New York to me. The opening credits remind me visually of something, A Nightmare on Elm Street I think. Much of the plot is sort of The Goonies meets something, off the top of my head I'd say maybe Firestarter. In the two episodes I've watched, there have been two nice Woah moments, I'm not sure if I'd call them twists, but **** that definitely seemed to come out of nowhere. In general, I definitely like it but as stated, Ryder sucks. It's obvious why she hasn't gotten legit work in the last 20-25 years. Her overacting and neuroses are just so ****ing annoying.

I've watched the whole thing, and it seems to me you just don't like her as an actress. I think she was just fine in this. Is a mother missing a child supposed to be rational and sensible?

Dude, she's bad imo. There's a difference between playing Sissy Spacek in Missing or In the Bedroom, or playing Nicole Kidman in The Rabbit Hole (just a few quick ones that came to mind) with a little depth and subtlety rather than the constant overacting panic attacks. She's just not very good and I'd guess it's why she's been not cast in anything worthwhile in a good 20-25 years, minus her minimal screen time in Black Swan. So yeah, I just don't like her. Primarily because she sucks.

Watched the first couple of episodes, and I like it a lot. It is tense and atmospheric, and the early-80s supernatural thriller feel is well-done and not too on the nose.

That said, CL is spot on. Winona Ryder is terrible! Her performance is less of a panicked mother looking for her child and more of meth addict desperate for her next fix.

The actress on the show can sing as well, she has a Youtube channel dedicated to her sing....

All I can say is... SHE CAN SANNGG!!!

Im only 2 episodes in, but the black cop mentions something along the lines of "She has been a step from the edge for a while now" when the main cop talks about how she is losing it. That and her ex-husband has some kind of criminal history, so I think they are alluding to her having some kind of past of drug abuse/mental instability issues before all the **** went down.

Ryder is perfect as a burnt out lost her marbles single mother. Somehow I picture her to be like this in real life.
She is serial dater, and seems to go from one rocker to the next.

Love the music, and feel of the show. They nailed the 80s feeling.

I have watched 2 episodes so far.
Great show. I'm really into it. I love that kid that always wears a hat (kinda chubby one).

Rider overacts but it doesn't bother me or change my enjoyment of the show.

I kept waiting for the bikes to take off flying. LOL

In addition to the movies already referenced, it had a Nightmare on Elm Street element to it as well.
