League sources say the Mavericks, located in the fifth-biggest TV market, and the Rockets, in the 10th biggest, are already interested in offering a monster deal to Harden. Not to mention that his mother lives in Phoenix, near Harden's alma mater. The Suns might decide to carve out extra millions to bring Harden home. ESPN.com

If Harden doesn't sign an extension by the time the season starts, he'll certainly have plenty of offer sheets to choose from. The funny thing about hoopshype posting this excerpt of the article is that it's an Insider article, and when you click on the link from hoopshype you can't even read the snippet they posted.

The Thunder can go over the cap to re-sign him, but if they do, they'll becomer perpetual luxury taxpayers.

that can be hard an a small market team i suppose.. they arent an LA... hmm. i kind of hope thunder dont resign him. id like to see him in a starting role somewhere and see how he fares.

I really hope the Thunder don't re-sign him. They'll be tough for years to come just with Durant, Westbrook, and Ibaka.

I agree. but i wonder who will be the go to guy off the bench. i know how easy it is for durrant and westbrook to score. but who will be the main 3rd option...

I bet it will be Harden. Whether it's via extension or by matching an offer sheet, I have a feeling Harden will end up staying in OKC.

Well ok then we will see.. There are alot of teams out there aka "portland" that put outlandish offers out there.
