The Art of War

I have this book pretty much completely committed to memory by now. I've read it 100's of times if not 1,000.

It's just a big bulletted list really, so It's great to just pick up, open to a random page and just read a random bullet IMO.

It's applicable knowledge is really still quite awesome. Keeps me sharp/vigilant for sure..

Particularly the chapter on positioning interests me.So many folks fight on dispersive ground and don't know it.

While I'm posting about ancient Chinese texts.

Anyone here know about --- I Ching (the book of changes)? The oldest of em all.

You've read The Art of the Deal almost 1000 times?!

The pace you keep is that of beast, not of man.

Yeah, back in grad school days, I was studying the history of science, and became interested in the conversations between Nobel prize winning physicist Wolfgang Pauli, and pioneering psychoanalyst Carl Jung, and their thoughts on synchronicity. If I remember correctly now, Jung may have coined the term synchronicity, to describe "meaningful coincidences". Of course, Jung was very taken by the I Ching, and I still have my copy from those days, the Richard Wilhelm translation, with the forward by Jung.

Wanna know the method?

I know Freud has much to say about ppls fascination with ****, I've read the book. Ultimately tho everyones gotta ****, ppl like you and Cy come to this forum to ****, i personally use the toilet -- and when i do i flip thru the art of war.

Lemme tell u what i draw from the conflict that is this interaction between me and you. You take the position of a Voyeur, thats your whole move, and then rely on semantics, and attempting to sound clever to appeal to your own ego and hopefully others too.

my response to that is the winston the wolf quote from pulp ficton;

"because you are a character, doesn't mean you have character"

In a thread about one of the greatest tactical texts written from over 7,000 years ago..... you've shown up to talk about me... thats WEIRD... I'm flattered but really not at all, i cant help but think something has conditioned you to think this way, it can't be naturally arising.

I might as well be interacting with robots than some of these posters, they just echo whats in their surroundings (aka the media) anyway.

In a society full of people attuned for voyeurism it's a convincing move, you play the role of the sheep and I the wolf, nothing to see here, just more of the same.

plus ça change, plus c'est la même chose

You said all Lakers fans will "roo the day they passed on De'Aaron Fox".

I post an image of Roo from Winnie-The-Pooh.

You talk about poo...

So PGAB, did you get that thin skin from reading The Art of The Deal almost 1000 times?

I want to take a minute to say something. I’ve recently been reading a book over and over and over and over again. It’s brought a lot of peace to my home and it instills lots of life lessons (like don’t break out of jail) and desires to better ourselves. Especially in my son.
