the problem is okur. i love the guy and feel bad for the guy at the same time. few years back he was an all star with the team and he was a great fit with the jazz. but now boozer gone, watching games when okur is in, he simply slows us down. with al,bell, watson, and price we have evolved to somewhat of a fast pace team. our team d breaks down when okur is in the game. the only advantage okur gives us to the team right now is his jumpshot and that is not enough to play him because he lacks so much in other areas. sure its harsh to say this just with him back from a devastating injury but thats how okur was even when he was healthy and he will be when he is fully recovered. he just seems out of sink with the whole team when he is in the game and as a result the whole team struggles. i know he showed loyalty by saying he wants to stay in utah even if it takes him to take less money but if we want to become a better team we gotta trade him. we have to make a move. this current team will not get it done. we have to somehow package any combination of players from the following players: memo,ak's expiring contract, and hayward(only player from the jazz that others will take a glance at), for a guy who can create for himself. thats probably not likely so why not hayward for oj mayo kind of a deal? or memo for a athletic big man?

The problem is we have close to nobody that can spread the floor..... and AK clanking 10+ foot jumpers

Okur has been part of the problem for a few years now, especially the last twelve months. The only plus he has is that he has a decent three. Unfortulately, he is a largely inconsistent, slow, nonathletic, injury prone, undersized center big man that makes around $10 million per. Resigning Okur to such a large contract was very risky. I still think the two biggest problems with the Jazz are size (need a big who can clog the middle and play defense) and an athletic wing man who can create his own shot. This has been the problem for years now.
