"@WojYahooNBA: Oklahoma City Thunder forward Serge Ibaka has reached agreement on a four-year contract extension, league sources tell Y! Sports."

"@WojYahooNBA: Story will be posted soon on Y! Sports."

I want to see the figures on that deal. It could help or hurt the Jazz.

So, just so that everyone is aware, this is what the Thunder will have on thier books in the 2014-15 season:

Durant- $18.995 million (19 Million for easy math)
Westbrook- $15.719 million
Perkins- $9.654 million
Ibaka- $12 million (I'm just taking the average. I don't know for sure what the right amount it yet.)
Aldrich- $4.442 million (Qualifying offer)
Jackson- $2.204 million (Team option)
Thabeet- $1.25 million (We should not count this because it is non-guaranteed.)
Hayward- $3.178 million (Qualifying offer)
PJ3- $1.129 million (Team option)
Thompson- $.915 million (Non-guaranteed)

The Thunder still have Harden, Sefolosha and Maynor to resign and they are sitting at a total of $69.486 million. If you take out the QO's and the N-G the Thunder are sitting at $59.701 million with those three still left unsigned.

I would imagine they would have to dump Perkins to keep Harden or just let him go. I don't see they paying the luxury tax to keep Perkins & Harden.

I think Dwight Howard on the Lakers might just change the equation for OKC. Harden at a max-ish deal is far better than Perkins at his salary for any team.

Still, I'm hopeful the Thunder keep Perkins, because that means someone else HAS to go, at least eventually.

OKC should have done a trade like the one rumored Harden for Beal. Not that I think Beal will be better than Harden( even though he could be), but so that they could roll over some of that talent without paying that luxury tax bill.

Millsap or Jefferson. I'm sure OKC would want a pick of some sort too.

I think OKC is going to do their best to keep Durant, Westbrook, Ibaka and Harden together for at least two more years before breaking them up for financial reasons. That said, it wouldn't be bad to offer Millsap or Jefferson for Ibaka just in case Sam Presti is finally due for a dumb move.

I agree. OKC wants to give it another good push and add some more talent. I agree with the 2 year projection as well. Presti has his act together, non of their guys will go cheaply.
