I don't mind losing to a team that is better than my team. Hell, I don't mind even losing to a team that gets lucky. But to lose to your own coaching and pure stupidity is un-****ing-acceptable.

How many more games are we going to allow our kicker to lose? Every year you can count on at least one game that comes down to missing an easy FG. Year after year, after year, after year, after year, after year.

And way to smother that fumble, you stupid dumb ****. The first thing they teach you in ****ING GREMLIN FOOTBALL is don't try to pick it up and run, FALL ON IT.

Got to love it when the commentators are openly wondering WHY, OH WHY, BYU keeps trying the same plays over and over and over. PATHETIC.

If any of you clam diggers want your money, you need to PM me your address and name. I'll be issuing payments Monday. I don't do paypal.

It's hard to argue with this response, tbh. My Cougs did it to me again; there's only so much more my wee little heart can take. I've already given up on Jazz games, and NFL football can eat the corn, but I don't know if I can give up the final thing in this world that gives me joy, and oh-so-much depression.

Personally, I blame the refs. They should have found a reason to give BYU a couple more shots at the end.

Either way, that was one devil of a game.

;)

Heavenly Father fell asleep at the switch board after the second last play of the game. It's late, after all.

Where's Elder Collie on the matter anyway? I'm fascinated what he thinks.

Refs shmefs. You can't cure stupid. This loss is one billion percent on BYU.

He's busy making millions in the NFL.

What I still don't understand is why teams think it's smart play calling to run options to the short side of the field. BYU did this time and time again, and there's just not enough room to run option to the short side. I get so frustrated when I watch teams do this.

When he stops pretending to be a General Authority, I actually quite like him.

The truth hurts, I know, but the good news is that one day, mere moments after taking your final breath, you'll get the chance to realize who incredibly wrong/stupid you were. I also think you'll be happy to know that, while your music is very anti-Gordon, they play it over the loud speakers in Heaven. Gordon is a Gaza fan. (can't blame him, really)

You, me, my wife, my 5 year old, the commentators, every football fan wearing blue, etc. all thought the same thing. It seems the only person who didn't get the memo was Mr. Doman.

Gosh, you're adorable.

Personally, I don't think coaches recruit very good kickers. I think they neglect this area and it's biting'em in the butt. Cal, BYU, and Utah St. all had kickers kill them today.

I get that you can't always have King Louie or Adam Vinatari on your team. But kickers should be automatic to 40 yards and pretty consistent to 50. Instead, we see kickers struggling to do anything beyond PATs. And even then, Urban's Ohio St. guy missed a PAT, Boise St. had their dream seasons go down the toilet with kickers missing chippies, and BYU failed to punch the game into OT off a pretty easy FG attempt. Perfect conditions, hardly any wind, not long distance, etc.

BYUs kicker who missed 2 FG's and had one blocked was very highly recruited and was supposed to be one of the best kickers. They should have let the guy who filled in for him the first 2 games while he was recovering from back surgery kick.

I remember him in HS. He had a great leg but wasn't very accurate.

I agree to a degree but then don't too. The problem is there just aren't a lot of good kickers. Even at some great football programs. My friend and I always talk about this...that from a young age, we could have our boys (once I have some tykes) kicking field goals at a young age... Maybe have them go to a football camp for it. You want to see someone you know in the NFL? Have them train to be a kicker.
