Tie breaker for lottery teams?

The Nets lost tonight to the bobcats

The Wizards won the Celtics tonight.

If the Nets lose to the Bulls and the Wizards beat the Cavaliers for the final games.

That would make the Nets and Wizards tied. What is the tie breaker?

How do we know if the Nets pick moves up a spot?

Also the Kings are right behind the nets. Lets hope they beat the Thunder tonight

I thought they just split the balls up. I'm curious about this too.
They do split the chances evenly, but that doesn't settle the draft position if the team(s) don;t move up. Case in point was the Jazz losing the coin flip to the Clippers last year. Both teams had equal chances to move into the top-3, but LA won the coin toss and got the 8th pick since neither team moved up.

Heads it goes to the Kings, tails it goes to the Wizards, lands on its side it goes to the Jazz.

Maybe multiple coin flips? Not sure how they'd do that; LOL. Hard to make it totally fair to all 3 (or more ) teams...

I actually believe they do a random drawing, meaning they put the two or three teams names into a hat and draw to see who gets the higher pick.

Just know that the Jazz will get the lowest possible pick if there is a 3-way tie...then, if by some crazy "stroke" of luck (ie. Stern has a stroke...) and we get a better pick, then we'll celebrate!

They take the ping-pong balls and split them evenly.

Say 4th gets 50, 5th 40, and 6th 30, they would put all 120 ping-pong balls and divide them 3 ways. So each of the teams tied for 4th would get an equal amount of 40.

If there is an odd number then they draw to see who gets the 1 extra. So if 13th pick was 8 and 14th pick was 5 they would put the 13 together, each would get 6 and one would get the extra to make 7.

No. If it's a three way tie they count up the total number of illegitimate children sired by athletes currently on the roster and then divide by the number of players. The team with the highest average picks first because in the NBA lottery, losing is winning.

I am not all that excited about this draft. No one appears to be a game changer. Some nice starters perhaps, maybe fringe all-star, nothing to get too thrilled about if we get the first pick. The we get to pick 1 of the 4 or 5 guys at the top, who at this point are really all interchangeable.
