No link since I'm typing from my phone, but I read that Popovich said they think Parker could be out up to 4 weeks with a grade 2 ankle sprain. The Spurs have done well without Duncan at times this season, but they'll miss Parker big time.

Tony Parker out 4 WEEKS with his ankle sprain? They didn't say it was a "high" ankle sprain, just a grade 2 type! Sounds to me like he may be a panny waste, apron string, momma's boy, umbilical. sissy! Out 4 WEEKS!!! Low tolerance for pain.....and probably did not have his ankles tape to begin with! Bad break for the Spurs, although they'll probably still win 70 percent of there remaining games!

Spurs are up 3 games on the Thunder (and 2 games on the Heat), and play 15 of their final 22 games at home (only 11 of OKC's final 24 games are at home). The Spurs still likely end up the #1 seed in the West.

Who is this Simmons guy that gives his pathetic opinion on ESPN pregame and half-time shows? He just made the ridiculous statement that the Thunder are now a shoo-in to get the #1 seed out west since Parker sprained his ankle! Has he looked at the schedule of both teams??? The Spurs have a ton of home games and the Thunder have a ton of road games! I think the Spurs could beat the THunder in a 7 game series even without Parker! I despise guys that make outrageous statements, don't you?

...yeah, the Spurs really missed Parker yesterday. They won by 40 points, shot 50% from the field, had 35 assists....and only 11 turnovers!

So Tony Parker is like our Big Al? Addition by subtraction?

...not at all! It just shows to go ya......the Spurs front office and coach KNOW how to put together a winning team! They know that having a "go to play" is better in the long run, than a "go to player!" They strongly embrace the "team" concept of basketball and only select, draft, trade for and sign guys that feel the same way! They do not embrace the "black hole" "one on one" "put'em up...I got bounds offensive concept!

You obviously don't watch them play much. A ton of their offense is out of isos, postups and pick and rolls, with complementary players spreading the floor.

.....yes, I've seen them a ton of times, but not enough to suit me, since they are one of the few teams that are actually watchable! Sure, with the 24 second clock you need to go one on one occasionally, and posting up a smaller man quickly, like Malone use to do can be quite effective. BUT you don't end up with 25-35 assists per game with a steady diet of iso's and post ups! They RUN PLAYS! Now that's a new NBA concept you may not be so familiar with if your watching a steady diet of Jazz games, which evidently you are doing.

....well, let's see how the Spurs do in game number 2 without Parker? I suspect another 20 point blowout, 30 plus assists, less than 15 turnovers and the beat goes on!

The Spurs got massacred at the Alamo tonight! Don't know what happened, but I'd like to hear what Popovich had to say at the press conference after the game!

Well, seems like the Spurs are definitely struggling a little bit without Parker. However, they won again last night and had 31 assists! Fortunately, they have a very soft schedule coming up with few back to backs and a lot of days off! I'd hate to see them get beat out for the number 1 seed to the Thunder.
