Trade Idea: Minnesota + Kings

Minnesota gets a quality Power Forward in Jason Thompson, so they at least have someone besides Bennett to replace Love. (you can also swap Carl Landry for Thompson as their contracts are virtually the same). Minnie wants out of Barea's contract and Barea wants out of Minnie.

Sacramento gets championship experience in Turiaf and Barea as they try to make a real push to the playoffs this season. Landry/Thompson will be the starting PF and Derrick Williams his back-up, so one of their 3-year contracts isn't needed. Barea is a solid replacement for losing Isaiah Thomas and Turiaf can play limited minutes as a 3rd string center.

I think this is a simple trade that gets each team closer to where they want to be.

Trade makes no sense: Their big rotation will be Pekovic, Dieng as Center primarily and Young and Bennett will both play Power Forward. Jason Thompson would make no sense at all.

Neither wants Sacto Barea and Turiaf.

What Minny will try to do is unload their wing to free up playing time for their new guys. What they accomplished by trading Love was that instead of rebuilding, they retooled and now they'll focus on player development, not chasing high draft picks. If that coincidentally happens because the West is too loaded for 1 or 2 more years, so be it.

Guys Minny will try to move are Budinger and Kevin Martin. They might stick with Corey Brewer for personality reasons. Could be good mentor.

Only Jeffrey cares about those teams.

I have a better idea: move Minnesota to Seattle and return the Kings to Kansas City.
