There is something to be said about not interrupting the life of a little kid any more than necessary. While is true his life is now different than it was a year ago, he's probably used to his dad being gone a lot. Other than the Secret Service, his life might not change in a huge manner.

I don't mind the kid staying behind... I worry about Trump being away from his wife and getting impeach if he has an affair with some woman at the White House.
 
There have been rumors for awhile that the kid is autistic so keeping him out of the spotlight as much as possible might be a necessary thing as a lot of them struggle with lighting and social situations and stuff.
 
The more interesting part to me was the disruption of thousands of people's daily lives due to the increased security around the tower, and the reallocation of new York police for security duty.

I imagine there is a big difference in providing security for a vacation versus actual living quarters. It seems it would cost the taxpayers a lot of money to maintain a separate residence. But I cannot blame Melania for wanting to do what is in the best interest of her child.
 
Kiwis are all white-knucked right now about Trump's White House fidelity and the education of his youngest son. Hotttnickkk isn't alone.
 
Will it cost tax payers more? Maybe. He won't be taking a salary, but that's negligible on the grand scheme of things. Will Melanie and Baron be using Air Force One for personal vacations or will they take Trump's personal plane? Yet to be determined.
 
Apparently part of 5th Ave has to be blocked off now because Trump is living at Trump Tower. That would likely have to continue if Melania and Barron stay there. So it is interfering in the lives of New Yorkers.

I've heard estimates of tens of millions of dollars that will have to be spent so the Trump's can stay in Trump tower and not the white House. The $400k/year salary is negligible in the grand scheme of things. He is disrupting an entire city to basically have a second whitehouse.


But yeah, the millennials are the entitlement generation.
 
Secret service will have to rent space from the Trump's in Trump tower. So Trump has a small conflict of interest here. And Americans are pauing for all of that.

Conflict of interest really should have been his campaign slogan, if he was as honest as his followers believe him to be.
