Utah Jazz Draftboard 2011

Shouldn't you change the thread title to, "Utah Jazz Draftboard 2011 as proposed by some guy at the much maligned Bleacherreport.com?"

ACCAgie

I loved your report. Thank you very much for posting it here. I found it informative even if I didn't agree with everything.

I think we could use this thread to post our own draft board (1-12) for the Jazz. It might be interesting to see how everyone on here thinks the Jazz should draft now, after the draft order is determined, and, finally, once it's clear who is in/out of the draft.

I'll probably post mine tomorrow.

Premature as always.

Good idea, just wrote an article for BR and thought I would share it with some Jazz fans. Not so well received up to this point haha.

1. Kyrie Irving
2. Derrick Williams
3. Harrison Barnes
4. Brandon Knight
5. Jared Sullinger
6. Kemba Walker
7. Perry Jones
8. Jonas Valanciunas
9. Alec Burks
10. Terrence Jones
11. John Henson
12. Enes Kanter

Thought I'd put that together real quick before retiring to the woods for the evening.

"Let me get this straight—a potential perennial All-Star PG who fits the system and the community like a glove, for a team that just traded its perennial All-Star PG, and you have him ranked #2? How is the possible?

Meet Harrison Barnes."

Couldn't agree more. Barnes should be top of our list. He is a perfect fit for our needs.

In reality I'll be very happy with a Kanter/Walker or Knight/Leonard.

1. Irving - although if we can get any of the next 5 and still get B. Knight Shamalan with our pick, then I'd rather do that.
2. Barnes
3. DWill II
4. P. Jones - he'd have to impress at workouts, but a skilled/athletic sf at 6'11" does get me excited
5. B. Knight Shamalan
6. Kanter - have you guys seen the size of this guys face?
7. A guy named Jan
8. T. Jones - I'm up and down on this guy
9. K. Walker
55. Jimmer - not really, but the only way I'd feel excited if we get him, is if we got Barnes or P. Jones as well.

I agree for the most part, but I don't like any of the Jones. Terence looks like a Jeff Green with no 3 point range to me. Perry I didn't watch enough, but he needs to 100% focus in his rookie season in order to turn himself into a serious player. Not sure if he can.

I do think Kanter will drop come draft time... sitting out for way too long with no real games to develop his skills was unfortunate, and he is turning down the invite to Hoops Summit.

Barnes and Knight would be my dream... but will they get along with the rivals since high school then UK kicking out UNC?

Ya, I'm sure two kids who have known each other's game since high school, and have a rivalry going along the lengths of "who's the better player" -- playing on the same team in the pro's would be terrible for team chemistry.

God I'm praying for some combination of Kanter, Jones, Jimmer, Barnes, Irving

Is this sarcasm? I seriously can't tell.
