Spring ball on Saturday!

Man, I can't wait to see our defense. Our front 7 are elite. We will have one of the top defenses in the country. Throw in Booker, a Heisman hopeful? Could be a special, special year.

On top of all those things a bunch of 1st year starting QB's in the pac-12. I'm excited for this season as well. I'll be at the spring game tomorrow.

I'm jealous. This is the first spring game I will miss in a really, really long time. It is usually my first sunburn of the year, although it looks a little rainy for today.

Never rained. Not more than a few drops anyway. Pretty fun. Disappointed we didn't see Chase Hansen. I thought he'd play. There were 2 DB's that looked really good and made some big hits out there #1 and #14. WR's were meh, lots of drops and very little space. It didn't help that Manning and Isom couldn't get them the ball when they did have space. Also a DE that was continually getting pressure against the LT. #97 don't remember his name though.

That's awesome. I really wanted to see Hansen run around a bit. Also see Wilson for a drive or two. That being said, I still have faith is Isom. He looked like a QB out there, and that is the first time I've said that about a Utah QB. I think in a couple years, he could be really good. Amazing arm. Completely inaccurate. I think that kid transferring from Washington commits to us soon.

#97 is Kylie Fitts. He and Myles Jack were choosing between UCLA and Utah out of high school and both chose UCLA. Fitts transferred here last year and had to sit out. He is a man among children. He will be incredible for us.

Our DL is so stacked. You could take our second string and third string and they would start for 90% of schools in the country.

My crazy predictions:

Booker will be incredible (ok, not crazy).
Poole will have a HUGE year for us. He will lead the team in receptions and receiving TD's.
Jared Norris will be an All American LB.
We will have a top 3 defense in the country.
We beat Oregon in Eugene.
Carter will be the best safety to ever wear the D&F and Hatfield will be the best CB to ever wear the D&F.

Flame away Ute fans. :)

Was at the Spring game. While the offense was hard to watch, gotta remember that the top 4 QB's were out (I'm assuming Cox is in the top 4 after the showing by Manning and Isom). Manning needs to move on. Kylie Fitts is a freak of nature. Hell, our entire D are freaks of nature. If this offense can even improve slightly (shouldn't be hard), it's going to be another enjoyable year.

I find this response quite funny actually.

Mississippi State is the poster child for how to fudge your way into relevance. I'm jealous, actually. I think Utah should go full Mississippi State and schedule down, guarantee 8 wins a year, then pound our chests and act like we've accomplished something.

Let's look at Mississippi State's "big" wins since 2010:

2014:
#8 LSU - ended the year 8-5, unranked.
#6 Texas A&M - ended the year 8-5, unranked.
#2 Auburn - ended the year 8-5, somehow ended the year ranked #22

So, what out of that list causes you to pound your chest in this thread?

Alabama ended the year ranked #4, beat you.
Ole Miss ended the year ranked, beat you.
GT ended the year ranked, beat you.

So, against teams that finished ranked, you were 1-3. Ooooh la la.

2013, you were 0-5 vs ranked teams.
2012, 0-4 vs ranked teams.
2011, 0-4 vs ranked teams.
2010, 1-4 vs ranked teams. The one team you beat? Florida, who finished 8-5, unranked. So, yeah.

Since 2010, you are 1-20 vs teams that finished ranked.

Yet you strut around here. That's rich.

In the same time period, Utah is 5-11. Sure, you played 21 games and we only played 16, but we have been a much better team than you. Oh, and half our schedule doesn't come with 8 guaranteed wins. So, go ahead and pound your chest after you beat:

Southern Mississippi
Northwestern State
Troy
La Tech
Kentucky

etc, etc, etc.

So, lol.

I watched the first half, the offense was about as painful to watch as a Travis Wilson interview. I was disapointed with Isom, he may get there in a couple years but he looked bad, no accuracy whatsoever, I agree that Manning should look elsewhere, he's just looked awful. Bummer about Hansen injury, glad I skipped this year.

tldr

Malik Newman could out football anyone on Utah's football team.

Prescott > Anyone on Utah's football team

Newman > Anyone on Utah's basketball team.

You should just ignore it like I did. Anything out of Cy's mouth regarding college sports is 100% biased and worthless. I like most of his NBA takes but in the college sports threads just skip over his comments because they are worthless.

This. Ya gotta quit validating him Green. Obviously, there's tons of places on the interwebs to talk MSU/SEC football with people that actually give a rat's *** about his opinion. It certainly tells you how preoccupied with Utah he is when he feels the need to jump in and troll a Utes 2015 thread.
