Usually do at least 3.

In the past you had 6-8 pre-season games. So they would do half/half, but sometimes they would do games on neutral locations (like 2 years ago when they did Hawaii).

I guess now they are doing 5 pre-season games since they are starting the season earlier.

Starting the season earlier = music to my ears (pun intended!). No pre-season games against Portland. I think they've been a regular for the last several years. Jazz need to continue to offer to play against international teams - do some recruiting under the table if there are any prospects.
