Thanks for the info. I have been checking for this info every couple of days.
Going to call my sister (lives in Vegas) and have her go to a casino sportsbook and put $500 on the over before the line changes.
40.5 seems like an easy over for sure. If the jazz only won 40 games it'd have to be because of significant injury issues.

Ya I was going to place the bet for anything under 43. 40.5 is more of a cushion than I could have hoped for. (I have the jazz winning 46-48 games)
After all the hype the jazz were getting recently (3 top 50 players and what not) and they way the finished the season (#1 defense, 6th best record after all star break, and a pace of like 53 or 55 wins iirc) I'm pleasantly shocked that it's this low.

At first glance, 3 I like are;
Over on Denver's 26½ wins, they're not the safest bet to stay healthy. If they do, I see a few players that could outplay expectations.
Under on the Mavs 38½ might be a safe bet too. (Y'all see Deron Williams is bald as Gerald Henderson or Jerryd Bayless now??)
Under on the Grizzlies winning 50½ too. Call it a gut feeling, feels like they've been slightly over-achieving for years. This might be solid value.

Heat 45.5 seems kinda low.

Nope. I agree with this, I think they could go slightly under .500. The time to make this bet on the Jazz was clearly last season.
Dante's knee is ominous, further injuries could be crippling.

I really think this is the easiest line. It's going to be under for sure, probably like 38.
Their record was awful with MCW and it's not like Greg Monroe has ever won in the NBA. MCW makes their offense worse and Monroe makes their defense worse. Trying to integrate Parker will be tough. Unless Giannis really turns the corner and can now shoot it 35% from deep, IDK about this team. I almost like Orlando turning the corner before this team. If I had to make a bold Eastern Conference prediction, I would say Orlando wins more games than Milwaukee.

Except...
1) The Bucks play very, very good defense.
2) Jason Kidd's a really good coach.
They went like 9-20 after the All-Star break.
*Not sure if thats the actual number, but I know they lost a lot of games after the break and had a terrible record after being 10 games over 500 at one point*
*EDIT* They went 11-18 after the All-Star break. Only 2 of those wins were to teams above .500. Overall not feeling they have a better record than last year at 41-41. Brandon Knight isn't great, but he is loads better for that team than MCW. Just too many ? for this team, in my eyes.
