My sister says it's crazy over there right now. She's still in contact with a bunch of people she met when she lived down there. Like people coming into your house and stealing your **** any chance they have and will kill you if you try to stop them. Also major food shortages, MAJOR!

This is what happens when government gets out of control and tries to subsidize everything.

Let us invade! End world poverty this is the only ethical choice. All you anti war conservatives like Stoked are going to look pathetic in 50 years for allowing world suffering.

Just no.

I don't think the world is going to look in 50 years like Boris believes the world will look. I'll be dead by then, so I guess I'll never know. Rats!

It really does feel like history has been repeating itself all over the world. Can we not do the 20th century again? Please

it sure does

heard some talking head (don't recall the name, but it was an African-American historian, someone credible) who was saying she's confident things will start to improve because as with most revolutionary times, when things seem to be the worst and can't get any worse, that's a sign that things start to get better.

Perhaps that seems too optimistic though - - how do we know it can't get worse? It's like with the stock market, the bottom only becomes the bottom once the recovery is underway but when you're in the middle of it, it's anybody's guess.
