VIDEO: Gobert is developing a smooth jumper

Very good news. I expected him to work on his D but since he won't get far from where he already is now, in order or make a dramatically more difference, this will work just fine. Just fine.

Not sure this is any different from the previous couple of years' videos of him shooting for 30 seconds, but whatever, let's get excited.

Not sure I'd say smooth but it's solid. That said, how many times have we seen this before? A guy hits everything in practice and then come game-time, his shot's non-existent. I'll cross my fingers.

All he needs is to be able to hit that shot at the top of the key when he's open. As it stands they don't even guard him there with the ball in his hands.

If anyone is stupid enough to be 15 feet out contesting a Gobert jump shot then that's perfect for someone to cut to the basket.
You saw the part if I said he became good, right? It will be easy for bigs to recover and contest with that release point, especially if it is a slow release.

You miss 100% of the shots you don't take. If he's wide open from 15-18, he's got to start shooting and making some of those. If he can hit most of his wide open jumpers, it only spreads the floor for others.
