Vintage Jazz Games Coming to KJZZ, November 2nd!

Awesome. The 1992 Jazz and Bulls triple overtime game is the reason I became not only a Jazz fan, but a fan of basketball at all.

HAHA, My Jr. Jazz game was the game Stockton beat the all-time assist record. I lucked out on that one. Still have my ticket stub and certificate also.

That's pretty cool. I saw a lot of jr jazz kids at a lot of crap games over the years, but the jazz also give some tickets to kids for some good games. It was the only chance I had to get to jazz games as a kid and I'll be forever grateful.

I got both Stockons assist record game and Jazz- Bulls triple OT game with Junior Jazz. The only time in my life I have been lucky.

The first game is the 1988 Lakers playoff series, I believe it was a home game. I remember watching this game!!!! I am so excited I can hardly wait. Stockton, Malone, Baliey, Eaton, Magic, Worthy, Kareem and--- Bobby Hansen.

Keep 'em coming Greg & company. I want to see some of the Stockton versus Kevin Johnson playoffs and the Jazz versus Clyde and Porter Blazers with Kevin Duckworth.

Oh, man I'm excited.

Do they have tape of Karl scoring 65 (??) against Milwaukee? Or the Denver (Mutumbo, Ellis) playoffs? So many possibilities.

It is vintage Jazz week with games also on NBA TV tonight. I enjoyed games 6 against the Rockets to advance the Jazz to the finals for the first. I was very impressed how Ostertag played. It shows how valuable size is. If only Ostertag would have enjoyed basketball he could have so much better. I had also forgot what a decent wing Russell was. Looking forward to another vintage Jazz game against San Antonio and have set my DVR. The will also be replaying game 6 later tonight for anyone who wants to DVR the games tonight.

I watched that game a few years ago and had forgotten how well Tag played. We remember Stockton's play (and the shot), but Ostertag was just as valuable down the stretch. Based on that performance he looked like he deserved the $39M they gave him a few weeks later. However when you watch the 97 Finals...not so much.

I want to own these games on DVD.
DVR and move them to your PC and burn them to a DVD. Or somebody else could and you could then buy this KJZZ series for like $5-$10 maybe? Kinda like a Christmas gift
Or even better if the person was so kind he could decide instead of paying him to pay Jason to keep the site up and running.

Game 6 of the '88 Laker series is on tonight. This is on the short list of greatest games I've ever attended. The crowd was amazing.

FWIW, Friday evening NBATV is rebroadcasting the 3 games they aired earlier this week:
-91 Jazz/Spurs (Stockton 28 assists)
-'97 Jazz/Rockets - Game 6 WCF (John Stockton sends the Utah Jazz to the NBA Finals)
-'98 Jazz/Bulls - Game 5 NBA Finals (Karl Malone 39 points, Big Daw 12-point 2nd-half)
