I've only stayed overnight in Wendover once. If you think it's bad, try spending a night in Jackpot, NV - it's the Wendover to Southern Idaho.
jackpot? Is that the name of the city? lol sounds very nevada like

That’s awesome!I certified way back in 1982 through the same company I think (on 7200 S just west of Highland Drive). I had a major ski accident earlier that year and had recent knee surgery, so I had to walk across that cesspool leading up to the lake using my SCUBA tank as a crutch. The instructor was probably 100 lbs overweight land I remember him going on and on about how a whole new world was about to open to us once. He literally used the word "wonders" to describe the features at the bottom of that mud puddle. Good times!
If the guy I knew was Mo he sure wasn't very good at it.
This is really weird because my dad had an uncle who made a fortune in the Philippines and he was very close with LDS leadership. I wouldn't be at all surprised if he played a major role in opening the missionary program there. We used to go to a big Christmas celebration at his house every year when I was young. But their family did not own casinos (or at least, they never said anything about it if they did).I'm probably way outta touch on Wendover casino owners. And now there are, what five casinos there?
anyway, the family I knew were good Mos. They made their money first in the Philippines and helped talk the LDS auths into opening the mission there.

Wow. This sounds exactly like my relatives. I had no idea they owned casinos. This family is completely unrelated to the family I was talking about that caused you to bring this up, though... at least, as far as I know. How strange.I wouldn't expect them to brag about it exactly. It was in the 1970s. I heard about it from folks around.
lived in Tooele stateside, had a better house in Davao I think, another in Manila. Showed up for missionary reunions even.
Are you from Tooele, @babe?
