What do Jazzfanz do professionally (...assuming they have jobs) ?

Work for a consulting firm that assists companies in identifying and implementing industry wide best practices.

Thanks for taking this thread serious, Archie.

I'm a professional model. I've done work for Playgirl, The WWE, MAXIM, and Rolling Stone. I don't do nude anymore, but I get offers every day. I am available for "private" functions, please PM for details.

Ah, I remember how I hung a chalkboard on my door when I was 14, with a complete list of all the professions I believed I would become professional in. . . . it was twenty something and subject to additions. My older brother, a Ph. D. in electrochemistry said if I just did one it might pay the rent. Ten years later, when I had actually run through about fifteen jobs, and when I was trying to wow folks with my C.V. ?/resume, another Ph. D. (Physics/Chemistry and college prof) brother said nobody would hire me because I couldn't keep a job. At Twenty five, when I told my father I was going to marry a black chic, my father, a MIC M.S. head of four national corporate labs for two companies, told me I'd never get a dime from him.

They were all right. And I'm happy to still have a conscience of my own, and some smallish businesses of my own including a ranch.

But maybe I'll have to go back to a regular sort of job again if cash flow starts getting tight. I am good with that too. I can smile and do what I'm told by complete idiots who can make payroll.

I am an astronaut currently stationed in space. use the precious nasa bandwith to surf for porn, post in jazzfanz
and ooh yeah I use space station computers to watch illegally pirated jazz streams.

I also am genuinely interested in what people do. I am only 25, I have an alright job, but I want something better. So this is of some interest to me.

My comment was serious. I work for "the man"...the government.

I believe you, I want to avoid working for the man, unless the man pays well, gives me freedom, and allows me to enjoy my life.

I actually sell insurance. I've been at it for almost five years. Not a bad gig. I took this entire week off for no other reason than I wanted to. I woke up every day planning on going to work, but just found a reason to stay home and play with my kids.

I love what I do.

As someone who refuses to work for the man, I have to say that working for yourself sucks horse balls, and there is something to be said for a steady paycheck, benefits, and co-workers. (I'm still never going to work for the man)

I am paid much more than my private sector equals, work 7-3:30 mon. - Fri., have federal health insurance, vision and dental, private pension, life insurance, free access to Rosetta stone, travel pay, a union protecting me despite not paying dues, my boss is over 50 miles away and I am protected by security cameras, an armed trained guard (ex cop), saftey glass, security alarms and police cars routinely driving thru my parking lot.

I have heard government jobs were the best thing since David Benoit. This post verifies that.

Ya, that doesn't really suck.

As a self employed person, I get paid roughly 10% of what my friends are making right now. I work 12am to 12am, 7 days a week. I have to pay for my own insurance; all of them. I get no travel pay, no security guards, and no Rosetta Stone. I have no boss though, which rules the worldz.

Fixed. There are some that suck balls. Also having a good manager makes it night and day. In my case I am out of site out of mind.

Being responsible for yourself is a good feeling though, its easier to work hard when its for you, rather than work hard for some ******* licker who just takes your work and signs his name to it.
