Did Russia blow up their own pipeline as a symbolic severing of relations with Europe? Or to reinforce the motivation for taking Ukraine to permanently control the land bridge to Europe?
Did Ukraine blow up the pipeline to reduce the negotiation leverage it presented to Russia in dealing with Germany, and to increase its own leverage with Russia with its own workable pipeline?
Did the United States blow up the pipeline because it felt European resolve was softening in the face of pending winter and desperation for energy?
Did the Scandinavians blow up the pipeline to gain market dominance with their own Baltic Pipeline that conveniently just started operation?
Was it a commercial interest that stood to make a lot of money by giving Europe no other choice but to seek energy from something they control?
Obviously someone blew it up and the act has greatly altered the geopolitical picture, but who did it?
