Who's your #5 and #23 combo?

The more I think about this the more I'm liking the Noah Vonleh & K.J. McDaniels combo for the Jazz....

Vonleh is the perfect complement to Favors. He can shoot the mid range. He can shoot the 3's. He can defend way out to the 3pt line. He can handle the ball like a guard. He's basically EVERYTHING that Favors is not. And if we're SOLD on Favors, I think Vonleh is just a great complementary piece.

K.J. McDaniels I think is a poor man's Aaron Gordon for this draft and a potential Kawhai's Lite 3-4 years from now. He defends. He rebounds. He can score a bit too. I think he's a great pick up at #23.

Together these 2 players could help form this lineup in 2-3 years time which to me is pretty SOLID and very well balanced:

Burke
Hayward/Burks
McDaniels
Vonleh/Kanter
Favors/Gobert

Burks & Kanter form the basis of the 2nd unit off the bench. Favors is the anchor. Vonleh is that stretch 4 who can defend. McDaniels hopefully can turn into a Kawhai lite. I like the way Favors & Vonleh complements each other up front and hopefully a nice defensive presence in McDaniels in the future. Gobert backs up Favors at the C position.

Enough about me - who's YOUR #5 and #23 combo???? And how would your team look like 2-3 years from now????

First realistic choice: 5/Exum, 23/McDaniels or Kyle Anderson

Second realistic choice: 5/Vonleh, 23/McDaniels or Kyle Anderson

Here's the thing about Kyle Anderson that no one's talking about--he has length and he can shoot (48.3% 3-pt.).

Great we seem to be on the same page there.

Can't believe I'm agreeing with Lukewarmnickkk. I feel so dirty it's going to take 1 hour - at least - standing under really hot water tonight to make myself clean again. And I may have to lather, rinse and repeat a dozen times.
I've seen a couple of mocks that have predicted Vonleh/McDaniels. Also seen quite a few that have McDaniels going before #23. If the Jazz can't land him, I wouldn't mind Warren at that spot. With the #35, the Jazz should stash a Euro.

I think it's going to be Exum or Vonleh at 5. I'm guessing Vonleh.

At 23 it would be great to get Payne (mainly if we draft Exum - though I doubt Payne will be there at 23) or James Young.

I have a bad feeling that Randle is going to be a beast All Star type player. I think he should be in the mix at #5 still. There aren't many players with his strength, quickness, motor and skills. I really think he's getting underrated at this point, and I have still have him and Vonleh about level.

Give me one from each group and I'd be pretty happy.

#5
Exum
Vonleh
Gordon

#23
Mcdaniels
CJ Wilcox
Jordan Clarkson

Could even get one of those at #35

5-Vonleh/Gordon

23- Cleanthony Early

35- Hoping Jordan Clarkson can be had here

I am far more torn at 5.

I really want Cleanthony and Clarkson
