I trust him out there. Why not draw up some Memo like plays a few times a game? We need 3 point shooting. What more does he need to do to get the green light. Kevin Love is out there doing it.

What you want the best shooter on the team to shoot from the 3 land, are you insane? Good question - why isn't he shooting more 3s?
Kevin Love shoots a lot of 3's, Kevin Love also shoots 43% from the field. I want Sap to attempt 1-2 at most per game. The danger is having your big man shoots 3's is that they start doing it too much, and they get away from interior rebounding and easy baskets.

Kanter will prove in time that he has a reliable 15-18 ft shot. but Cyrone Torbin hit the nail on the head as to why he is not trying those shots. That's called coachability, he has obviously been told what to concentrate on and at this point it's not outside shooting.

Inside the offense, I don't want to see too many 3's from him. He needs to play in the paint. But it wouldn't be hard to work in having Sap take the occasional 3 trailing on the break a la Memo. It's a wrinkle that should be considered.
