  • Absolutely changed the outcome, Hillary would have won.

    Votes: 2 12.5%
  • It is all just a distraction.

I believe the Russians meddled and I also think it affected the outcome.

I honestly don't care though, because as long as America has a joke of a system that makes 1 dumbass farmer in Ohio's vote equal to 4 Americans in California, we are always going to be setup to elect a nutjob sex offender like Trump.

u farmophobic ???

he wouldn't have been up to the rigors of the job, he's 137 years old !

the trend is toward younger politicians, just look at the babe who's about to be elected PM of new Zealand, she's barely old enough to vote. (can think of a few other things she's old enough for tho.) T.Rump actually bucks this trend cause he's no spring chicken himself. I don't really think age is that important, Konrad Adenauer was ancient when he became chancellor of West Germany and he was in the job for 14 years, I mean times were different the Russian were threatening war, there was a war going on in Korea and there was a post war refugee crisis in Europe... Oh wait...

yeah, me too

I think there were major efforts going on well before the election to make HC look even worse, throughout the year or so leading up to the primaries - and not just against HC but against candidates from both parties not named Donald Trump

She's doing a pretty decent job of making herself look bad atm

I don't believe it's been made public the degree of which Russia was involved, only that it was.

So all you get is a maybe.

so you do let your wife listen to Coast to Coast all night, I see.

you're so cool, like George Noury cool, with unbelievable stuff as a matter of course, of course.

No, I was actually thinking of this poll from a few years back:

https://www.theatlantic.com/nationa...believe-lizard-people-run-our-country/316706/

BTW, there's a new book, with the author making the rounds, and an adoptation of same in The Atlantic, entitled "Fantasyland: How America went Haywire: a 500 year History", by novelist/one time journalist Kurt Andersen, that purports to describe how America got to the point where the truth is whatever anybody says the truth is. How we arrived in the post fact era, in other words, where we have a President who revels in "alternative facts" and is a fan of conspiracists like Alex Jones. I had been thinking of starting a thread about it, in view of how fake news is so much in the forefront these days. Probably a bad idea, though.

Don't fantasize about Hillary ever sealing her yapper. She knows everything. The world cannot do without her. NOBODY else should ever be Pres. well, in her head, anyway, that's the bedrock reality.

so yah didn't git the memo. The investigation is over. Congressional and Mueller. Nowhere to go with it that won't dislodge dem bones.

I mean significant Dem bones still in office who might not just say so, but this thing is done. 100% done.

Equal protection under the law translates as "Equal protection from the Law" sometimes.

No, I didn't get that memo. But I also never said impeachment would be the end result. We'll see, though, I'm not that impressed by your prognostication skills. You're no more impartial then I am. Biggest result in my life was the damage his election did to my marriage, and that has been the effect for many Americans from what I've learned.

I am curious, for those that feel this had a definite impact and might have or absolutely did affect the outcome, how exactly did it have that affect? Was it negative press on Hillary, or do you think the actual voting mechanism was compromised, or was the compromised DNC email thing a big enough impact, or something else? One reason I felt it may have had some influence but did not affect the outcome was I felt that they didn't do anything grandiose enough to really drive votes one way or the other, and I do not believe they actually hacked voting equipment and changed votes or anything like that. So I am curious what others thought happened that had a big enough impact to actually affect the outcome. tia

Hell it is Occam's razor. Had nuthin ta do with interference Trump stomped on the blue state wall with his stance on trade. Pennsylvania, Wisconsin, Minnesota an most notably Detroit ain't voted red fer decades. Last time most them states voted red was fer one of the most unifyin presidents ever Ronold Reagan.

Problem with Trump is the libbies don't care ta unite the country all they care bout is character asassination jest like they continue to do with Reagan an Bush II still ta this day.

I haven't seen evidence that Russia actually hacked voting equipment (although they apparently tried). I do believe that their interference influenced voters so perhaps had an impact on the results. But who really knows? There are so many reasons people vote as they do.

I don't think Occam even voted dude.
