1. Trading up to get Cousins/Favors/Wes Johnson/Aminu or

2. Trading down, get two picks and hope one of these wings fall- George, Babitt, Henry and then take a big in Sanders, Whiteside, Orton.

Question, what happened to the British big man that worked out for the Jazz, Ryan Richards; where is he supposed to go? I think he could be the steal of the draft- Big,athletic, strong, versatile and only 19

I'd be disappointed but it's a crap shoot anyways so, whatever KOC & The Millers do I'll live with it.

Would I be happy with:

Trading up?
Yes, I would think that would be great, but we can't give away the store for a higher pick. Some people, CJ, or other picks, maybe, but I wouldn't give away AK, DWill or Millsap at this point. We can't give away AK because he'll be worth a lot more near the trade deadline, when people want to give away good players with longer contracts, just for AK for a few months, and then they can dump his contract. Conversely the Jazz could get a decent player, for just around what they are paying AK. That's what the Lakers did with Gasol. We can't give away Millsap because it's looking more and more like the Jazz won't be able to afford Booze. DWill, DUH!. It would have to be at least #5 in order to jump I would say too. Anyone else is up for grabs to be traded to me.
Trading down?
It would have to be that one that was talked about like getting the 12 and 25 or whatever it was. If it's a lower pick than 12, I would have a hard time with it because I'm thinking after 12 to 14, quality, upside, etc is starting to drop. I don't believe anyone after #12 looks to me like they would give us what 9 - 12 would.

According to Doug Gottlieb of ESPN, he sees Cousins fall to #6 which would be great to trade up (GS has history of making horrible trades

1. Wall
2. Favors
3.Turner
4.Wes
5.Monroe
6.Cousins
7. Aldrich
8. Babbitt
9. Davis
10 Hayward

If it went down this way, you got to go Aminu. I would then buy a mid to late first rounder and get the best available big- whiteside, Orton, Seraphin, Sanders and then grab either Pittman, Lazar Hayward or Charles Garcia in the 2nd round

I just watched Ed davis' highlight reel and Aminu's. Aminu's highlight reel is incredible and Davis' is pretty good too. I'm now on the Davis band wagon. If it comes down between Udoh and Davis I do a coin flip but probably Davis cause he is younger and has more upside

Aminu will be the next Gerald Wallace. We'll have to see who Cousins becomes, but I would take either option. The 9th pick just sucks.

Aminu could be Gerald Wallace or he could be Ndu Ebi. He probably scares me as much as Cousins if not more. If I trade up, I'd rather it be for a big than just a guy who's purely potential.

Just my 2 cents, but this talk about them trying to get a mid-late 1st, rather than trying to gain an additional 1st, I think the Jazz are seriously considering trading down if a couple of their targets are off the board at #9.

Is there something wrong with Gerald Wallace- I love that dude. Only thing is Aminu's body is wider, he is longer, and taller and could really put on some muscle with his frame.

If Aminu can't hit an outside shot Jazz are just getting another Brewer, I meant Snyder, Stephenson type player. Any SG or SF you draft has to be able to hit outside shot or he's useless.

The thing is aminu's shot isn't as bad as Brewer's and can work on it. He wouldn't be useless. Actually, based on watching games of him he can defend, rebound like crazy and scores a lot in transition. Imagine D will having Wes on one wing and Aminu on the other running the break with Milly trailing. Our fast break would be unstopable

This would be true if DWill was strong at executing on fast break opportunities.

No, Gerald Wallace is a great player. Aminu would be a great pick for this reason.

Or Davis is younger and people haven't picked apart his game yet. :)

seriously though I'm not sure who I like better out of these two.

Udoh, Davis, Aminu.
I'd be o.k. with any of those picks.
Then, like you and many others have said, try to get another 1st-rounder.

Maybe Renee Richards pulled out of the draft.

It's an easy call, TRADE DOWN.

Outside of Wall and Turner, all the rest of the top picks could end up being great players or complete busts.

It does nothing for us to go to all the work and sacrifice to trade up to end up with a project or bomb.

Might as well increase our chances and go with two picks. Might as well get to average/good players than one star/bust IMO.

Get a good solid wing that can shoot, create with Deron, and play some defense. And get a shotblocking big man. For me, a draft with Pau George, Aminu, Henry, or Babbit. Combined with the big man selection of Aldrich, Davis, Sanders, or Whiteside would be good enough for me.

IMO two good players like one of those wings mentioned above combined with one of those big men mentioned above would be better than selling the farm to get one player. We should address both our overall athleticism, length, shooting, and shot blocking in this draft. Doing so will require multiple picks.

Gerald Wallace plays his a$$ off. He literally flies all over the place. I don't think you can expect that kind of commitment from Aminu or anyone else.
