What's new

LOL Jets

Hate to say it but when this popped up on my phone from bleacher it made my day a whole lot better lol

The saddest part about it is that Jake freaking Heaps just moved up to #3 on the depth chart now and will probably make the team, at least for the first half of the season.

Football culture is so ****ing stupid. Coaches actually encourage these fights to build "team chemistry and toughness".

....I think what we had here were two guys born and raised on the "gangsta rap" hip hop culture, reacting to the normal way "gangsta rappers" handle disagreements involving money! Of course, the "original" gangsters from Chicago and N.Y. back in the roaring twenties also resorted to violence when they disagreed on territory and money, too! But then again, the mobsters would generally take out a "tommy gun" to settle the matter! Actually, I'm surprised that one of these guys didn't "cap" the other guy! Oh, yeah....they are not "allowed" to bring a "piece" into the clubhouse anymore!

Here's the scuttlebutt on why this went down!

"The punch, which broke Smith's jaw and will put him out six to 10 weeks, was over a $600 plane ticket Enemkpali bought Smith to attend his football camp on July 11 at Pfugerville High School in Pfugerville, Texas, ESPN's Adam Schefter reported. Days before the camp a person close to Smith died in a motorcycle accident, and Smith didn't attend. Enemkpali asked Smith to reimburse the money, and Smith said he would but never did, Schefter reported. Tuesday's incident was over Enemkpali confronting Smith over that $600 according to Schefter."

Sounds like Smith deserved it.

But it sounds like the guy who punched him lost his shot at the NFL over $600. That's gonna sting for the rest of his life.
Fo sho

As more details emerge, all I can say is: I hate being right all the time!

It started with a dare.

"Ryan Clark, an NFL analyst for ESPN, gave a blow-by-blow Wednesday morning of how the drama between Jets quarterback Geno Smith and now-former reserve linebacker IK Enemkpali unfolded after speaking with two players who were in the locker room.
Smith “put his fingers” in his teammate’s face before he was sucker-punched, sustaining a broken jaw that will sideline him for at least six weeks.

“These guys were in each other’s face,” Clark said on ESPN’s radio show “Mike & Mike.” “Geno put his finger in his face and told the guy, ‘Well, you’re not going to do anything about it.’”

When one hip hopper puts his finger in the face of another hip hopper....there is a 100% chance that someone is going to get smacked or capped....true or false? You cannot "diss" a hip hopper with impunity!

I really don't think any of that is limited to hop hoppers
