The elephant in the room

The preseason is almost over and here we are discussing about all the players except for Hayward. He's gone by disturbingly unnoticed. Do you guys think that it's just another one of his cold season starts? Is he genuinely disengaged for whatever reason? Discuss this topic about who many think is our franchise player.

I personally hope that he's just that badass and thinks that the preseason is not worthy of putting any effort into because he's gonna kill it in Detroit with a career night.

This isn't the elephant in the room at all. Hayward is our only player who has really proven anything.

I am no longer worried that Hayward will have super slow starts to the season now that we have Snyder and Hayward is 1a or 1b on our team.

I have been a bit dissappointed in hayward so far this year. Just like favors and gobert. Not really too worried about of those guys though.

He is definitely deferring a lot when he is in the game. I dont think the coaching staff wants him doing that much in preseason. He has nothing to prove in the preseason. He shows glimpses of effort. I am sure he will be a little up and down this season but he improves consistency every season in the NBA.

Hayward and Favors will be solid when the season starts and the team will lean on them. If we make the playoffs one or both of them will be all-stars, probably injury replacement all-stars but all-stars.

He looked bad last night in the first quarter in particular. I'm more worried about Rudy and Favs to be honest, but I'm not worried about them all that much.

Hayward has had some great moments this preseason where he has looked dominant. Remember he got tackled last game and was likely stiff/not practicing a ton. We will be fine.

You mean when we traded our 2 most proven players, all stars, Adrian Dantley and Ricky Green? The 80's when we moved an unhappy hall of famer, Pistol Pete? Is that the same 80's you are talking about?

There is not a single untouchable guy on our team. We shouldn't jump into anything but it should be considered.

And for that reason I've opened a new thread about our so called franchise player. I think it's worthy of being discussed indeed. Just compare Durant's focus and determination with what we've seen of Hayward so far.

So you're trying to bogart my thread? What? Douche

I'm with Cy on this there are more important things for the Jazz to consider than worrying about Hayward. He does need another and possibly a 1st option scorer to be more efficient for sure.

No, he just needs more spacing. Every offensive issue the team has revolves around spacing.

the Jazz organization looks like a Republican National committee junket there are so many elephants in the room.

This is great... it only took 0 real games for the Jazzfanz to go full retard.

If we need to add anything it is a true stretchy big. Was doing some homework and think a guy like Robert Covington could pull this off while giving us some minutes at three. I have no idea what it would take to get him, but I think we need a little flexibility in the frontcourt. We don't have to get it this year though... we can excersize a little patience and let this thing come together.

If Favors becomes Lamarcus Aldridge (develops a midrange game) with his same defense, this team will kick ***. If not, I bet the jazz trade him.
