Zach Lavine's rise to greatness

Context is always important. Keep in mind Zach was born in 1995, like Trey Lyles and Dante Exum, meaning there will be at-least 10 players older drafted this year..

Buddy Hield who some are talking about lottery possibilities in the draftee's thread was born in 1993!

I think that means nothing, other than what Cy said, he was playing OKC.


I don't get why people think plus minus is a reliable stat. there is 4 other people on the court with him at the same time. They are also responsible for what that number turns out to be. Zach is on a team of really old players and really young players. That's not a great combination of teammates to come out ahead.

When you try to play that as your card to prove he's no good, it just makes you look really dumb, like you have no clue what it even means. You may convince someone else that it means something, but it won't work on me. Go find some other sucker(NAOS) who will think that means something.

If I put Zach on the Warriors and he was shooting like that, and Steph was going off, and Kay was going off, and Draymond was beasting, do really think that his plus minus would be in the negative after they torch a team by 40? Seriously bro, give a break with that weak *** ****.
 
I've hated on LaVine in the past, but I have to admit his potential has looked very promising, enough to convince me I was wrong about him. I think most people hating on him now are just doing it to indirectly hate on Hack.

*I still dont think he will ever reach Hack's hype level, but I'm more convinced it's a possibility now*
 
I just posterized some punk at LA fitness, shut down the whole gym for a good minute, the kid wanted to fight me shortly thereafter -- after I blocked him and stole his dribble... LOL.. The steal ended the game. I had my headphones in too, I took them off to see what all the commotion was about and this kid was ready to get in my face..

figured I'd leave it in this thread, was my best Zach LaVine impression of 2016... did a little cradle into a windmill, with my left hand over his extended right... HA

Lavine is one of the best dunkers of all time. Those dunk contest dunks were so awesome.... And they would have looked even better but he kind of makes it look too easy to the point that it takes away from the dunk a little
 
I've always liked Lavine but Hack is always so damn whiny about **** I've had to bust his balls at points. That said, what does Minny need to improve? How good of a defender is Towns?
