Dish a good option for Jazz games??

I currently have Direct TV and the price has gone way up now that the year long promotion I signed on for has expired. I live in St George right now so league pass isn't an option. I'll be paying 120 bucks a month basically just to watch the Jazz games if I keep Direct TV. Ive seen some good prices with dish, albeit almost certainly base package. Can anyone tell me if Dish is a good option for Jazz games and also what the price is. Any info would be appreciated. Cheers!

I have comcast and i pay 165 dollars per month (internet too, but still). Way too much $$$

I'm on Infinity at around $100/per (plus LP). Will likely be cutting the cable soon. Is LP through NBA a decent feed? Any problems with streaming through the TV?

I have dish. It's fine. Make sure your package includes the regional sports network. Are you getting a DVR? If so, the only issue I have is that it occasionally doesn't record the right channel automatically. So I check it every couple days and make sure it's recording Root and not the Milwaukee channel, for example.

If you want a referral let me know. Think we both would get a kickback

Cost? I pay for a little higher package and have three rooms with a DVR. It's like $120 a month (they just raised the price $5 for local channels - grumble). That's the regular price. You'll get a discount for a year or so I assume.

How fast will your internet be? Also where do you live? It's ok through LP but never as high quality as a cable or satellite provider. Too many variables with routers and crap.

Call and get a contract and you can prolly drop that to $90-100. We had Comcast prior and they had a contract for 200mb internet and tv with Root for like $89. I think it was $99 without a contract. Comcast you have to call every time the price goes up. They're good about discounts but NEVER pay regular prices. Always have to call.

I have Dish as well and get every game. But like Jason said make sure you get the correct sports package. Root Sports - Utah I believe is the name.

I pay 120-150 a month but have DVRS, movie package, sports package, multiple rooms, I rent movies...

I've been with Dish for a looooong time. Pricing is average and service is legit. I have never had an issue with Jazz games. My only issue is their disputes with Fox and NBC. I missed the NFL season opener in 2015, and the Seahawks playoff game this year due to it. If this sort of thing keeps happening I will be going elsewhere.

No service provider is "worth" the money you pay to them. Annualize what you pay them and tell me you can't find better use for that money. Cut the cord! I did about 7 years and never looked back. I'm not even in the market but haven't missed a game in years...granted, I watch the games on my computer.

If I enjoy the service and get good use out of it then it is "worth it" to me. What it is "worth" is entirely subjective in this context.

I guess it depends where you live. In Hawaii, Dish Network is complete garbage, the slightest hint of clouds or rain in the sky and your signal goes out. However, when I switched to Directv, my signal was still going strong even through the last hurricane we had here. Along with the NBA League pass package, I also get the NFL Sunday Ticket package (which Dish Network doesn't carry) so overall it was a no-brainer to go with DTV for quality and content purposes. But yeah, it's quite a bit more expensive than Dish Network for sure.

I watch every jazz game from Montana on Directv. If you were to ask my advice I would call them and cancel and wait a day or so. I cancel every year, and get a call within 48 hours with a one year contract and a much lower price than you can get anywhere else. I even got $150 gift card once before too. It also usually comes with NFL Sunday Ticket also.

I don't have Dish or DirecTV. I got a Roku as a Christmas present and those things are legit as ****. I can stream Netflix, Hulu and basically whatever TV channel you want to pay a small fee for. I just bought League Pass for the Jazz only and when you limit it to one team you save a ton of money. 3 payments of $19.99 per 3 months. Cut the cord and you won't regret it. If you be honest with yourself you just watch the same 5-10 channels yet are paying for 300+.

Do you live in Utah/Idaho/Montana? Never mind. Sounds like AZ so, yeah, LP is great for you and Jazz games. Not so much for us locals.

I live in Hurricane and have LP, just the jazz games and it's $120 for the entire season. I have TDS and for some reason it tricks it into thinking I live somewhere else. Lakers and Clippers are blacked out. Next year I may look into other options. It cost to much for all the blackout games. NBATV, vs Lakers\Clippers and all other national games are blacked out. Way to many games and the fact that NBATV games are blacked out is absurd.
