Is it time for the NBA to expand?

Do you have a ****ing clue about what's been going on in parts of Mexico for what seems like almost a decade now and how it's gotten worse?

This wouldn't be me and my wife going out in the daytime to MC tourist attractions. This would be millionaire athletes in a major city where the cartels or others could extort and/or kidnap and/or do worse to them. It's not too tough to imagine what could happen there. But yeah, I'm the ignorant one. Go get a ****ing clue, dumbass.

You are sensationalizing it badly. Many expats live in Mexico City and love it. Murder rates are way higher in cities like New Orleans and Chicago than they are in Mexico City.

I don't doubt either of those. I do doubt that the city, as part of a country whose violence has continued to escalate at record levels, has the infrastructure in place needed for an NBA team, its players, personnel, families, and so forth.

Half court sucks ***. It favors people who are fat and out of shape since there is practically no difference between defensive and offensive rebounding.

No version of basketball I have ever played favors people who are fat and out of shape. It might make their glaring weaknesses less blinding, but that is about it. What fat blobs do you play with anyway?

I think we should shrink the league. Cut out 4 teams, and then eliminate east/west dichotomy.

as far as bringing 30 gleagures to the NBA that is not comepletely correct because it would draw a lot of players from Europe also. I agree it would add 5 to 10 g-leagures to the NBA but I feel that there are that many there that deserve to be on NBA rosters.

Adding Seattle and St Louis to the NBA adds the 14th and 21st media markets to the NBA. I am not sure that the NBA is ready to expand into Mexico yet but a gleague team there would be a good start

I would love to see the NBA get involved in european basketball. Have an NBA Europe

I think one of the huge advantages to an expansion is getting rid of the super teams. Well at least the current super teams.

Yeah, either way, it would be a good mechanism for breaking up the Warriors.

It wouldn't affect the warriors in the least, unless you think losing Kevin Looney is going to bring them down.

No chance in hell the NBA EVER does an expansion draft where you can only protect 2 players.

If someone deserved to be on an NBA roster, they'd be on an NBA roster. Two more teams would mean having about 30 guys in the league who aren't in the league currently and shouldn't be. Talent would be watered down and the product would suck.
