Season Prediction

I'd like to see the Jazz make the POs and take out the Rockets.

I remember how clutch fans for months whined about this call:

Amen to what makes folks tired. It is not up and down pace. Half court defense with a team that has good ball movement, good cuts and good screening is far more tiring.

But I dont think we win more games than Boston. The East is way to easy and the West has never been this tough.

Quinn allows opposition bigs an wings ta rest for long periods of his shot clock. Running them would wind them much faster.

I think if people have ever had to guard someone and navigate picks and switch multiple times and rotate to help they would understand

We have elite defense, now with guys like rubio exum mitchell.. we will have more steals more fastbreak points.. however we lack the punch. High posssibility we may not win games we are supposed to win just because the opponent has a superstar take over the last quarter. So its impossible to win 50+. But i expect something like 44-48, which should be good enough to earn a playoff spot. We have depth most teams do not.

I dislike this idea.

Pace does not equal how much teams are forced to work. If our offense requires the opposing team to defend for a majority of the shot clock I think we are using altitude to our advantage.
I agree - to a point - with the statement that working to defend in the halfcourt creates fatigue. But to say Utah is going to make teams work 24 seconds instead of 7 - that's just silly. Jazz were running the same style offense last season. And it was likely better than it will be because of Hayward. Show me last season any teams that wore down in the 4th. It just didn't happen.

Now, if Rubio and the rest of the team actually pushes the pace instead of walking the ball up the court like the PG's did last year, Jazz might be able to punish teams due to the altitude. If not, the SAME Jazz offense, at the slowest pace in the league, is not going to wear out teams.
