What's new

Jazz @ Thunder 12/5/2017 6:00 pm MST

What a depressing loss. It's not like they gave up in the 4th, but sheesh, Mitchell needed to come back earlier than he did in the game.

The Utah Jazz is #1 team in Q4 (ahead of GSW and SAS .. link)
I did not watch the game so I'm not sure what caused the Q4 collapse. I think the main reason is fatigue. and some rust in Gobert's case. Perhaps he returned back from injury early.

Anyway there is no need to overreact.. OKC might have their problems but they can beat any team any night, especially home. They'll move up on the standings, their current record is misleading.

We just looked really tired in the last 5 min.

This is pretty much it - The Jazz legs gave out in the fourth. Although Burks looked gassed the entire game.

With a back-to-back going into a place where you usually don't win, that's when the shots don't fall when they usually have been. Still saw a lot of good things. Jazz are still managing to get a ton of open looks. DM, a ****ing rookie, dropped 31 on the road on the second night of a back-to-back. That stuff just doesn't happen - and it's amazing how fast we've gotten used to it.

Rubio/Gobert is a problem. When the offense is clicking Gobert is a force but a lot of the times when they're both on the floor Jazz are playing 3 against 5 on offense.

I was honestly expecting a turnover every time Rubio runs a pick & roll with Rudy tonight
This. I don’t want to see Rubio paired with Gobert at all. I find myself muttering bad Rubio every time he tries to pass the ball to Gobert.

Can’t believe Snyder went with Gobert over Favors. I was hoping Quin would use Favors, Sefolosha, Ingles, Burks, and Mitchell down the stretch.

Ricky had one where like four guys keyed in on Rudy and he still tried to cram it in there. Didn’t result in a turnover just deflected but I laughed. Had Kaepernick flashbacks.

Rudy should not have played last night. I could tell he was struggling with his legs in the first quarter. We should have just rolled with Favs last night. Adams really killed us.

Agreed, the location of shots are exactly what you want, passing was still happening, Mitchell went off again...

If the Jazz had Hood and JJ they would have been fresh and we would have won.

Personally I am over the Rubio experiment. Perhaps that is rash and way to early but I am still over it.

Cant blame the loss on Rudy or Quin... we were up 17!! Thats on the players to stay locked in. As soon as OKC lifted their pressure we **** the bed.

Eyes test is we looked vulnerable to being blown out whenever DM was on the bench. Rubio may work but his time with the Jazz has been really ordinary. Ive seen zero of this savant passing ability I heard so much of.

He's coming off a targeted hit to his knee, it's surprising he healed so fast.

But seriously, when Donovan came back in in the fourth Rubio was at the point. THE BALL NEEDS TO BE IN DONOVAN'S HANDS NOT RUBIO'S!
