Following Potential 2018 Draftees

I am not seeing it. I am seeing a super long player that uses that length very effectively

Sent from my Z981 using JazzFanz mobile app

He doesn't weigh much and plays considerably heavier and taller than listed. Much more athletic than lets say Khris Middleton who's probably a decent comparison point, it's pretty clear come draft time he will be in the 1st rd.

FWIW - My friend who's a Nova die-hard swears that you could see Bridges was going to be this good back in HS.. here's some footage from 2013 that I like.

landry shamet having a ridiculous season so far - TS% at 73% after last night.

Is there a president of the Shamet hype train? there should be one.. As an eventual successor to Rubio he'd be perfect. Way better than Wade Baldwin of years past. Possible top-10 tho, he's going to show well late in the process.

being 6'4" is gonna take him a long way.

Jazz still must infuse more firepower, their hands are tied unless they just wanna get their heads kicked in by golden state and houston, so he's gotta be a prime target

Sexton is weird for me because he looks much bigger than he actually is. He is basically the exact same size as Trey Burke. I think I overrated his athleticism early in the season. Trae Young is only slightly smaller, but he is way more skilled and a much better passer. I could be completely wrong though. Sexton's motor and effort on defense far exceeds what Young does.

I'm surprised Sexton isn't higher on most mocks. ESPN, for example, only has him at #9. He looks like a top 5 pick to me.

Not Top 5 in this draft. I think he's the leader of the 6-10 group of guys. I love Sexton... he'll be good, but there are so many good point guards and point guard prospects. Think he ends up with the Suns, Cavs, or Magic depending on how the order falls.

Aric Holman is a legit 2nd rd sleeper from Mississippi St. I'm sure y'all all familiar with Jonathan Williams at Gonzaga, I like Holman better..

It's tough to cast this, but I'ma do it anyway, I just kinda feel like he might have 'what it takes' to be a 2nd rd gem.

This is echelons below a terrible game for NBAdarft.net's posterboy Lamar Peters at MSU... probably the worst game he ever plaed his whole life...

and he just missed a wide-open look again.... 0/11... lol this **** is amazing.. it's a 12 point game and the spread is 12½ too, this is sportscenter SVP 'bad beat' worthy, and they should just show all his misses (and an outrageous push off call on offense that he had the temerity to try and argue, after they let him get away with it 2x the minute before)..

Abdul Ado... looks exactly like I said he was going to years back. He stole the show in this game.

Kudos and a tip of the cap to any of the other Spencer Dinwiddie supporters from years past. To me stories like that are some of the best we've seen come from this 'draftwatching' in the last handful of years, best part is it's live and touring and on the way to a town near you... in a way, the story is just getting started..

What he's done here the last few years is worthy of being called admirable, and now it's quickly turning into something triumphant....

"The Mayor"

Still one of the most devastating injuries I can recall.. I've never seen anything quite like that game since..

Do you guys think Shamet's game will translate to the speed and physicality of the NBA. A lot of guys don't translate--e.g., Wade Baldwin, Nigel Williams Goss, Nate Wolters, etc.

I think Jaylen Hands will be in this discussion in the near future. He's explosive when he wants to be and is pretty skilled. He can get buy people and get on the rim better than people might think.

I just looked him up and watched some videos. He looks like a Jeremy Evans-esque 2.0 type player.

Uhh, wut?

I don't think Shamet is like any of those dudes.

Plus, it's too early to call it on NWG or Baldwin. NWG is putting up great European numbers right now. Plenty of players go to Europe for a year or two before getting a real shot in the NBA.
