#2 we lack talent. Part of it is due to injuries. But another part is due to a need to rebuild for another year or two. We need to get an AI, Casspi, Gordon, Ginobli, etc who can come off our bench and drop big numbers. I’m not seeing that from Neto or Griffin or whatever else is on our bench. We just need another year to get us some athletes and another shooter or two.

*ahead of Neto on the depth chart (listed in alphabetical order): Burks, Favors, Gobert, Hood, Ingles, Jerebko, Johnson, Mitchell, O'Neale (OK, maybe tied), Rubio, Sefolosha, and Udoh. And Exum if healthy.

If DL could pull it off, I’d be happy to see them offload Rubio, Burks and Johnson for something of positive value. If they can get a solid wing or PF in the draft and the other one in free agency.

Plus, hang on to Hood, Exum, Thabo, Udoh and Jerebko for another year. . . that could be something interesting.

Donovan probably has changed the "narrative" to bringing in talent. Who wouldn't want to play with him at this point? He has championship written all over him. So does Rudy. We just need a third star.

I’d say most here wouldn’t do it, but it’d keep cap space open and I think if we are looking at 2019 for a FA splash, that having next season put us in the map and I think Dirk transforms spacing just by being on the floor.

Indeed he is, but I don’t think his value would come from his modest numbers and horrible defense. This scenario would heavily rely on Jerebko off the bench.

I like the creativity and commend your guts to post that, but that may have been the worst post I have ever seen on this board.

I also think the Hill trade was the right move at the time, but in retrospect, I think the Jazz would have taken Dejounte Murray who would be helping the team today. Hayward left, Hill left, and we don't have a lot to show other than a deepish playoff run. Which may have been worth it, but I still sorta wish we had Dejounte.
