Wanted to get the vibe on the board of what you all think is truly realistic this off-season. Are we going to land the big names? Bring in a few 3rd tier guys maybe? Just run it back with maybe a replacement for Rubio?

Vote and thoughts...

I think it will end up being a combination of the second and third choices. I think we keep Favors, let Rubio, Sefelosha and Udoh go and bring in someone like a Jeremy Lamb or Terrence Ross or Terry Rozier. Also likely sign someone like Ariza to replace Thabo and maybe sign a shooter from overseas for the minimum. I think there's a pretty good chance we move Donovan to point guard, but that'll depend on who we get.

If this is the case the front office needs to think about resigning tbh. They've done some great things but if you can't get the team to the next level then it's probably time to step aside. What's the point of remaining on a treadmill?

I don't know... I think the most realistic is the 2nd tier option... but if you believe what some are selling it seems that we will either do 1 or 3. #4 nope... no way... which sucks.

Second is probably the most realistic, but I'm holding out hope that this is the year we finally bring in a big FA. If I had to put a number on it I'd probably say there's a less than 10% chance of that happening though.

I'm not sure replacing the front office would make any difference. I'm sure Lindsey and Zanik will do everything they can to sign Kemba or Tobias but if they choose not to come there's nothing they can do, they can't force them. Max level free agents just don't want to come to Utah for a variety of reasons, it's always been that way and probably always will. The one area where I do think it's fair to give DL some criticism is not being aggressive enough making trades... not being willing to give up Exum in a deal for Mike Conley being a prime example.

What if there is literally nothing that can be done to get a top free agent to come? Has it ever happened to the jazz before? Ever?

Updated odds on where NBA players will start the 2019-20 season per @betonline_ag: Tobias Harris PHI - 2/3 BKN - 3/1 DAL - 6/1 LAL - 6/1 SAC - 8/1 UTA - 10/1 IND - 12/1 MEM - 14/1 ATL - 16/1

Jazz are not even listed in the odds for Kemba, DeAngelo, Middleton, Thompson or Butler.

Yesterday George Hill said he wants to go back to Milwaukee and that it has never been about the money for him.

Jazzfanz is probably in for a painful summer.

We can unload some of our dead weight if possible, but Rubio is NOT dead weight and should be retained! Bringing in another PG who will probably specialize in throwing the ball into the stands and missing shots that should have been taken by Rudy, Favors or even Donovan would be a big mistake and cost us 10 games! A little tweaking, improved player development, along with better coaching, would put us at 60 wins!

I think the bigger issue is turning our noses up at trade acquisitions in the name of not compromising cap flexibility for a free agency splash.

Well that's depressing.

Does it mean that if you had bet on Kemba and the Jazz, that you'd get infinity dollars if he signs? Somebody get me Kemba's number and tell him I'll give him a billion dollars if he signs.

Behind Sacramento???? Come on!

This isn't great.

That sounds correct... also I know very little about gambling.

It's fine. This **** means nothing.

Vegas knows stuff... I'm not sure this online betting is "Vegas", but they know stuff.

I don't think Sacramento is realistically ahead... but not being around BKN territory is worrisome... Everyday I need something that tells me the sky is falling... this will do for today.

Here's my tangential beef with that...

Let's pretend I'm friends with Tobias, or Kemba, or whoever, and I have some inside intel. It'd be some kind of insider trading-type stuff if I were to be placing bets on that, no? Where is that line drawn? You place bets based on your reading of information. Vegas is putting their ear to the ground on all intel and placing the lines accordingly. Where's the line of what us regular folk can use as intel?

I'm not worried about the Kings all that much. I'm more worried about Philly, Dallas, LA, LA, and Brooklyn. But the sad part is that the Kings still have the same chances which is very, very, very low.

Remember, these are the same h8rs that prolly set the odds of Jesus Christ coming back from the dead at 1000/1...

I don't trust the bookies as far as I could throw 'em.
