“We talked about him being a two-way player. We talked about him putting pressure on the rim. I think we saw that tonight,” - JB Bickerstaff (cavs hc)

He led this game in scoring 7/11 from the field and 6/6 from the line! +33 in 27mins

That crossover first second of this highlight package... I truly belive that move is what got him drafted so high.. The FO had visions of him blowing past opponents like dat....

He's always been good when defenders are dumb enough to guard him closely at the 3 point line. That won't happen in the regular season.

Hope Dante does well. Rough deal here with the injuries but he showed some flashes of being solid. I wish him the best. And listening to those two calling the game make me appreciate our folks.

His health has always been the main concern with him. I don't think anything is wrong with him physically but he's had bad luck with injuries, but that's just my opinion. He obviously has talent that comes together well sometimes. He just rarely gets a full season to do that. Maybe he will now, I hope he does for his sake.

On the other side. How excited would this board be if we signed a young defensive player that can play 1-3, who's long/athletic and had an offensive performance like this. Everyone would be going nuts if shaq was younger, longer and had a pre season offensive game like that.

Dumb Snyder does not have a clue how good exum can be when he is allowed to play with freedom. DANTE plays like a mvp when the coach trusts in him, allows him to make mistakes and plays with freedom.

Cleveland wont win 20 games

Even in his best preseason game ever. This is no where near MVP level even if he sustained it for an entire season every game, which he has not even come close to after two games.

Sorry Snyder hurt your feelings and made you cry though. I'm glad you and him have that coach that lets him play and do what he wants in preseason.

the hate of Exum is ridiculous. Yes he was disappointing but the kid has talent. It is not his fault he was drafted with the 5th pick. it wasn't his fault that his body betrayed him. the kid worked hard while he was here and was a good teammate but to discount his performances elsewhere is just silly. The reason for his lack of success has mostly been due to injuries. I hope he has a wonderful career and can stay healthy. The trade brought us JC which is a win for the Jazz so Jazz nation should be happy with that then taking every opportunity to bash Exum. Some people make it sound like he beat up a family member.

Agreed, the kid has been unlucky. I don't think he will ever realise his potential which is a shame cause he belongs in the league.

I think he'd have better off doing a year or two in college to allow his body to mature playing 30 games a year instead of an nba schedule but hindsight is what it is. I wish him the best too.

Exum could always get to the rim, his problem was he was extremely inconsistent at finishing. He had some games here as well where it looked like he finally turned a corner but then went back to his old self again.

It would be nice to see him turn it around but I'm not buying it.

And unfortunately the universe, being unfair to Dante and just being a hater, won't permit pre-season Cavs games in perpetuity. It is rather unfair what God, if there apparently is one, is allowing.

He could always get to the rim, he just either blew the layup or turned it over once he got there.
