I'd waive NWG and pickup Hezonja. He's a solid defender who has a decent body to guard big wings.

He'd definitely be behind Oni and Hughes for me tho.
We'd add an advanced stat reject immediately after our advanced stat darling. See which works out better for us.

I'd be interested in hearing more about his defense.

I think we are totally done outside of just waiving NWG. I’m not a Mario fan.

Hezonja has the physical profile we need. He has great size and has good strength. Also not bad at getting rebounds and creating turnovers. His defense is underrated because that's not the player anyone expected he'd become. His shooting is more awful than I could have ever imagined.

Growing up there was this kid a year older than me named Mario. Went to elementary and middle school with him. I never really talked to him, either, but knew who he was. He had long hair. There was a rumor that his family was growing marijuana in their house. Anyway, recently Facebook suggested him as a friend. I didn’t know his last name, and we had 0 mutual friends, and he looked different and had cut his hair, but I knew immediately it was him while thumbing through.

This isn’t related to the subject at hand, and doesn’t expand your basketball knowledge, nor does it entertain you, but that’s my most recent association with the name Mario.

I think I’m more intrigued with you adding that Mario as a Facebook friend than the Jazz adding the Mario in question.

If Mário was ever playing regular rotation minutes for the jazz, I guarantee you he’d become the biggest whipping boy on JFC. Bigger than anyone since I’ve been on the board.

He’d serve a purpose at least.

If we didn’t have Oni Hughes or Shaq I’d consider it I guess but I’d be more interested in other options.

So you're saying he'd fill a role.

The chance of him playing regular rotation minutes for the Jazz is < 1%, I'd imagine, so this likely would never materialize.

But @Saint Cy of JFC is right that there's a defensive body type there that in theory we could use (basically same size as Otto Porter, better rebounder, has played more games/minutes over the last two seasons, similar assists and steals). His advanced stats defensively are at least in the average range (which is not awful for a bottom-of-the-barrel pickup). But that shooting  (though his career 3% is better than Shaq's).

Bruh he isnt the size of OPJR. He's the same size as Ingles and Niang. He's like 6'8 w/ a 6'10 wingspan.

Slap on the hand... still felt they had to do something. Stern would have taken away 3 firsts... Silver is a softy.
Yeah this is funny. That was my first thought, then I saw everyone on twitter freaking out. How many firsts did Minnesota lose?
