Clearly the Republican party's response to their White House loss in 2020 is to suppress the vote harder. I think that in Georgia, in particular, the Republicans already in office there felt like the tide was against them and the answer they came up with was to suppress the vote harder. Since that is what has allowed them to stay relevant in that state over the last few decades they figured they'd go back to the well and just have another drink of that sweet sweet voter suppression. Make the voters in "certain neighborhoods" stand in lines for a full day and let's see how much they really care about voting.
Thing is, I think they ****ed up this time. I think they ****ed up real bad.
There was nothing subtle about this being about reducing black democrats from voting. I think we'll see an equal and opposite effort to get the black vote out in Georgia and an energized voter base that is not going to stand for this. Not anymore!
This was clearly a bridge too far.
