Cool, thanks. May the league step-in to help the Lakers in the 7/8 game.

If it were only for that game I'd be for it.Cool, thanks. May the league step-in to help the Lakers in the 7/8 game.
Would be sweet if suns beat the Lakers and Mavs beat the clippers. (Mavs are 5 seed iirc but I'm not sureAnd neither did the Nuggets!
(Gotta say I feel a little bad for the Suns, they finish with the second best record in the League and will likely lose to the Lakers in the first round- ouch!)
Absolutely correct, and definitely cause for concern. I assume every Jazz fan will be watching that play-in game. But it will be played in LA and the Lakers are deeper, bigger etc, etc. There shouldn’t be any funny stuff because that would mean having to play another sudden death play in game.Is that a given. Everyone is assuming the Lakers beat the Warriors. If the Lakers lose to the Warriors then they play the winner of the 9/10 game. The winner of that game plays the Jazz. So if I am reading this right, The Jazz could play the Lakers in the first round.
No doubt, but I wouldn’t bet on it!Would be sweet if suns beat the Lakers and Mavs beat the clippers. (Mavs are 5 seed iirc but I'm not sure

I'm gonna throw some pennies in a fountain wishing that Curry goes nuclear and scores 82 points.Logically, the Lakers are a nightmare matchup for the Warriors. They have multiple fantastic defenders at the guard position to use to blitz Curry, LeBron/AD should eat their wings alive, and the Warriors will get absolutely crushed on the boards.
That's logically. In reality when it comes to other teams, whatever outcome screws the Jazz over most tends to be what happens.
My play-in guess:There is a very good possibility that the Jazz play either the Lakers or Warriors in the first round. Neither of those teams will be an easy out. I am hoping for SA, too funny. Congrats to the Jazz they held it together and finished first. It is too bad DM and Conley were injured because they could have clinched a lot sooner if both had played.
Look at the positive. Niang and bogey got their groove back, Conley got rest and looked amazing in the last two games, Donovan is healthier than he has been all season.I mean, yay, the Jazz did it! I should be happier but I'm focused on how ugly the second half of the season was and the needless amount of play that our oldest main guys got tonight.
Actually I think they were worried the Lakers would finish 6th and they were trying to avoid the Lakers. I don't think it had anything to do with their second round opponentSo the Clippers tank their last two games so they can get matched up with us in the second round.
It 100% had to do with their second round opponent. Clippers/Lakers in Round 1 was already mathematically impossible coming into tonight.Actually I think they were worried the Lakers would finish 6th and they were trying to avoid the Lakers. Sure they are going to try to win the game but maybe they like the Jazz in the first round vs the Suns. Not unrealistic to think so. Warriors have been playing much better than earlier in the year. Curry has been amazing. Of course I think the Lakers will win but I wouldn't be shocked if GS either. I think both of those teams will beat the winner of the 9/10 game. So the Jazz most likely will either play the Lakers or the Warriors. Not exactly easy opponents for 1st seed.Lakers are going to empty every round in the gun to win, at home, that first game. If they lose, then, hell, bring 'em on. They aren't ready yet. Might as well get them now.
It is incredibly unrealistic to think the Lakers would prefer a Jazz/Clippers path to the WCF over a Suns/Murray-less Nuggets path.Sure they are going to try to win the game but maybe they like the Jazz in the first round vs the Suns. Lakers haven't got the 1 seed yet. In fact I think most people have the Lakers getting the 7th seedKind of hard to feel excited about the 1 seed when, if the Lakers lose on Wednesday, it will be literally the worst seed of the entire playoffs to have.
Lakers-Clippers path to the WCF. This is a broken league.
They miss Green, Rondo, and Howard. We don't know that yet.
I don't think the Lakers are as good as people are expecting them to be.
Or the warriors or the grizzlies or the spursIs that a given. Everyone is assuming the Lakers beat the Warriors. If the Lakers lose to the Warriors then they play the winner of the 9/10 game. Yeah but we actually had identical season records with the Bulls that year. This is one better! We did it in 98. Jazz had home court advantage throughout the playoffs but lost in 6 to the Bulls. Back then it was the 2-3-2 format. Which is why “the shot” was on the delta center floor.
YesSo I still don't know how the tournament works. Is the 7th seed basically whoever wins out of the 7/8 (GSW/Lakers) game? Then 8 is determined by the winner between the loser of 7/8 and the winner of 9/10?
