Rudy got 84/100 1st place votes which is ridiculous. Should have been unanimous but whatever.
Here’s the other thing; is there an emerging player that’s going to take over his dominance as they come into their primes? I can’t think of any. Simmons might get one out of noise alone. Embiid is the Sixers offense, so I don’t see his defense catching up to Gobert’s D. Does Giannis have another in him? Draymond is certifiably beyond his prime.Rudy still has plenty of time to catch Mutumbo
Rudy is 28 and Mutumbo won his fourth when he was 34
Rudy could get to 5 or 6 if voters want him to
"Gobert, who won the award in 2018 and '19 before Giannis Antetokounmpo won it last year, earned 84 of 100 first-place votes and finished with 464 total points. Philadelphia 76ers guard Ben Simmons (15 first-place votes, 287 total points) and Golden State Warriors forward Draymond Green (76 total points) finished second and third, respectively."any report of the vote count ??
