What's new

Nov 7th SLCC Exibition game feature several Jazz players

He may be good but being the most talented 2 guard during a 3 year stretch is not impressive. Ronnie Brewer, Kyle Korver, CJ Miles and Hayward. Hayward looks decent but the others didn't do much

I think he meant in 2 to 3 years he could become the best Jazz SG ever?

Here is a video I took of a Wesley Matthews to Jeremy Evans Alley-Oop which included a windmill for good measure. I wish I had a better angle.

Umm, sorry, but where did you get this idea of Alec Burks being a bad defender? Have you watched him play....ever? I love how you say that we shouldn't come to judgements about his offense, but then you immediately dismiss his defense and say he has a lot of work to put in.

I watched his highlights and i didn't see any effort by his side in defense, no hustle, no tenacity, so that's what i am worried of. He looks like a skilled guy, so thats good, but i don't think he will become another Wade or something. At best he can be like a Kenyon Martin which is good.

There was no defense displayed by anyone on the court. This was a glorified Utah All-Star game. We can't take anything defesively out of this game.

He was talking about Burks.

I hope you realize how unreliable highlights are, when trying to analyze a player. Again, wait until he joins the NBA before you come to judgements like these, we actually have no idea how good (or bad) he will be. The exact same things were said about Hayward before he came into the NBA

I did not see this game or any highlight of it. But wouldn't it be fair to characterize it as a show, not a game? As a result, I can't see that anything meaningful could be taken about any player's performance in it.

Dude give me a break. He posted up against Enes 3 times, and then every other time was against freaking evens. Of course he looked unstoppable.

I'm not saying he looked bad or anything, I'm a huge big Al fan. But trying to say he looks that much better or unstoppable is just stupid.

Good point. I was just upset with everyone saying Curry, Evans and Burks were by far the best on the floor. I still say Big Al is better than all of them (well...Curry might have passed him.)

There was no love for Big Al and I wanted to give it to him. He didn't have 30 points, but thats because he didn't take that many shots.

I gained a new respect for Chauncey Billups. Here is a guy that could be the biggest jerk. He accomplished more than anyone on the court with rings, finals MVP, and all-star appearances but he is playing in a charity game. During timeouts and halftime he was talking to Jimmer a lot and it looked like Ronnie P's daughter was wearing a Billips jersey.

Other thoughts: Big Al is huge. He made Kanter look small when they were standing by each other. His shoulders and arms are a lot bigger than Favors as well. Stephan Curry is awesome. After the game he signed his shoes and threw them in the crowd.

Can a few of you who watched please give me an accurate update on how much Al transformed his body? Use a 1 to 10 scale to rate his body last season and now this year, 10 being Dwight Howard, 1 being Dave Ballou.
