All NBA - Rudy = Yes; Spida = No

Happy for Rudy, very deserving. Donovan was deserving as well but the injury and missing around 20 games derailed his chances of making it in a league loaded with talented guards.

Donovan Mitchell played 1 less game than Paul George. Also, Lebron played 8 less games than Mitchell and still got a 2nd team award.

The best player on the team with the best record didn't even get put on the list. That is disrespectful.

Agreed. Aren't there significant financial ramifications because Donovan missed?

This is another sign by the NBA that established stars and bigger markets just matter more.

If the Clippers had the best record, PG would probably be on the 2nd or 3rd team.

Donovan should try playing defense like those dudes do.

This. But it's all about marketing so Mitchell is left out being on probably the least marketable team in the league.

It's objectively good for the Jazz that Donovan didn't make it, unfortunately. The cap picture is a nightmare.

Mitchell missed 29 games. Had he missed 15-20 or less I'm confident he'd be on one of those teams no doubt.

One could argue he deserved Irving's spot and would have a strong argument but Beal balled out and it would have been a crime to have left him out.

It sucks for DM, and it's hard to not blame it on him doing what he does in a small market. At the same time though, the same thing happened to Tatum and he's in a big market. I think DM should have made one of the 3. I do think that if you have the team with the best record in the NBA that it's not a stretch to put your 2 best players on those teams considering what they both did this year. I'm happy for Gobert, but I'm bummed for DM.

19 games. It was a 72 game season.

I hope it pisses them both off just in time for a championship run. Both guys seem to play better when they have s as n active chip on their shoulders.

idk what you trying to argue dude. If he wants to be like those guys on the list, he has to play defense or else he is going cap out as a top 15 guy.
The defense thing isn't a guarantee. Sure Kawhi and PG play good defense, but Steph, Beal, Harden, Westbrook, etc don't play high level defense.

My argument is - if one of those guys averaged 25/5/5 while his team had the best record, they would be on the 1st or 2nd team.
