Jazz Offseason Plan

I don't really even think about them cuz I have no clue what they are going to do... they needed to tear it down but still hanging out in the middle.
I don't either, but here's the thing: Pop has gotta be emperor of the franchise and I have a tough time imagining that he's going to want to slog through a rebuild.

Or send Clarkson instead. IDK. I think they could be getting jumpy and they have the assets that plants crave.

I would say JC has more value, but that's all the more reason to trade Bogie. I'm so hesitant to trade Clarkson because he just has a more important skill set than Bogie does. And Bogie is one dimensional and aging, and is kind of redundant. I for sure wouldn't trade Clarkson for Kuzma, not just because I think that's terrible value, but then it seems like he and Bogie would have a lot of overlap. I'd be open to Bogie for Kuzma/22.
For the most part the let JC cook method of offense is effective, but it doesn't always fit in. I think Bogie fits with more teams.. you can play a few wings at the same time... not sure you can play a few JC's at the same time. If we lost Conley I'd probably prefer to keep JC... if we kept Conley I think JC might be better used to get you something different. Its a legit tough argument.

Favors is the only one likely gone.

How does Bogey for Kuzma/22 work cap wise?
Huh, I guess I got it mixed up with the Conley sign and trade ideas that have been floating around, and which won't happen. Maybe a 3-team trade, or they sign and trade Schroeder or something. I dunno.

Do you think Bogey or JC has more value? Kuzma is a player I think the Jazz should target with either player. I'm not high on him, but the Jazz need to get a little younger.
I think Bojan has a little more value because he's a wing, he's a proven starter, and he's one of the best shooters in the league. Galinari, a free agent last year, signed a contract making a few million more than Bojan yet I believe that Bojan is better.

Clarkson might have value for the right team if they want a guy from off the bench. His contract is better, but he is a one trick pony. He scores, and that's about it.

I don't know where to put this, but what if Fredman was the guy who ran the cap math and ****ed everything up?
I'm getting memories of helping my father in law with spreadsheets and fixing literally every formula on the sheet.

Meh. I think he's worth keeping but his G League stint was a little disappointing. He had some good pre-season games iirc. I'm not banking on either guy being a big contributor.
This GLeague season was just weird. You had Dok getting seriously injured, Hughes looking like hot garbage and a GLeague vet Trevon Bluiett looking like he had never picked up a basketball. I don't know if the Stars coaching sucked, the games being compressed or if all our players are just awful.
this is all fair.

I'm telling you all, buy low right now. If we could do Kumza, Gasol and #22 for Bojan, we gotta do it. Then Gasol might just retire saving Ryan millions.

I will tell you the same thing I tell my wife... Just because its on sale doesn't mean you should buy it.

I think Kuzma is only coming in if Mike want to go to LA and we sign and trade him. I think you could sub Gasol for McKinnie who is a fine guy to have with your 14th roster spot. If Butler is available at #22 I'd do it.

You've spent a lot of time lately talking about the financial implications of our roster.
We've also discussed Don's precarious situation and how we need to make moves that he might like.
And lastly, we've talked at length about this draft and how we need more youth.

So if it saves millions, puts a buddy next to Don, and adds a much needed first rounder, why not consider it? I simply refuse to believe that the dropoff from Bojan to Kuzma would be that steep.

I’m just given ya a hard time. Depends on who is available at the pick for me. I like Butler a lot… I think Duarte could contribute right away but I’ve not watched him enough. I like Thor but the timeline might be too long to justify being at least slightly worse.

If Kuzma comes in and is shooting 40% from three and adding more defense that’d be awesome. Thus far there is nothing telling me that will happen. So it’s kind of a cross your fingers type of move. I’m a little worried that adding friends of guys might divide the locker room a bit more.

It would make sense at least… which is an improvement over last season.

G-League was weird this year with the bubble thing and I'm pretty sure he was coming off a severe ankle injury as well. He definitely looks the part and he always showed confidence when he got the garbage time minutes.

Count me in! I want to see this kid blow up and get some good minutes next season.

Also on IG, admittedly this ones not super inflamatory, it's just the conglomerate of all of them. He's been posting God will give him what he's praying for for weeks now
