Trade deadline discussion

Jazz roster right now...

Gobert / Whiteside / Dok
Royce / Gay / Paschall / Hernangomez
Bojan / NAW
Mitchell / Clarkson
Conley / Forrest / Butler

House? It doesn't look like the Jazz have much room for Hernangomez unless they move someone.

Ryan has tasked JZ with rigorously running the phones to find a taker for Hernangomez’s deal that takes back less salary.

Ryan and Danny are on the golf course talking about boobs.
Go listen to Locke today... pretty hilarious. Starts with praising Ryan and Ashley for not just dumping more salary. Just went on and on about how great this commitment to spending and winning is. I mean they could have given up even more draft stuff and just dumped Joe's whole contract. We are blessed to have them and lucky they graced us with only a semi-******** deal!

Things are pretty quiet - we might get some bombs right after the deadline passes, but I don't think the Harden/Simmons deal is going to happen.

The Nets would be absolute morons not to make this trade. Harden will tank this season for them then probably leave in the summer.

I think they are just haggling over the spare parts.

It's pretty quiet on the Jerami Grant front, unless someone makes a late run at him.

Clarkson, Butler and Hernangomez match Grant's salary. Jazz could offer a pick and a swap.

Detroit just moved off of Lyles and Josh Jackson, picking up Marvin Bagley.

I think not doing more at the deadline to address the perimeter defense is once again going to come back to bite us big time in the playoffs.
Being good at it for a couple games without Rudy has likely given us false confidence that we have it fixed. Maybe we have real improvement?

I just don't honestly see a decent deal coming together for what we can offer.

I would rather have House than anyone we just traded for. It feels like we took one step forward and 3 steps back. But at least we saved money. There is that I guess.

Forrest has been making a difference to our backcourt defense. He's done well against both Curry and Chris Paul recently.

Damn that was a major overpay to get James Harden. It would make sense if they were getting the Rockets MVP Harden but this seasons Harden?

Hmm... Bagley would be good insurance in the event they trade Grant.
