Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I hope Ryan and Ainge send Don to Miami, he runs the Jazz and should get whatever he wants. Thank you Don.
If the Heat are able to trade Herro for two unprotected Kings picks or something wild like that I would be just fine with Duncan, Jovic, all teh Miami picks and the Kings picks… I just don’t value Herro a ton and think he’d hate coming from Miami and landing in Utah.

FWIW Checketts asked Tony Jones about Walden's reporting that Miami made the Jazz an offer for Mitchell and TJ said it doesn't matter at all because the Jazz are not trading Mitchell right now unless they get about 6 first round picks back.
Herro on a max

Herro wants a max and to be the main option offensively so I doubt he’d be too upset. But if you trade for him you have to pay him.

Tyler Herro per 36 stats:

23 PPG, 5.5 RPG, 4.4 APG, 44.7% from the field, 40% from 3 on 7.3 attempts per game. 87% from the line.

You’re telling me this guy couldn’t have a jump in his game playing with Gobert?

Its awful for Denver. Morris is so solid and signed on a bargain deal. Barton isn't amazing but is roughly equivalent to KCP. This is all about the $6M they shaved off to get under the tax. They got a two time MVP and are allergic to paying tax.
I don't think you actually watch many nugs games. Barton and KCP are not roughly equivalent. The nugs desperately need perimeter defense and KCP blows away Barton in that department. Also Bones Hyland is ready to step in for Morris so there was going to be a massive minutes crunch at the backup pg spot. This is definitely a win win trade for both teams.

No thanks… I saw some report that said Herro would sign for somewhere between 20-25M. Worth it to Miami but not sure outside of Heat culture if Herro is super awesome.

If we trade Donovan before the whole league knows he’s available I’m going to lose my mind. If they are seriously considering it they better shout it out for all to hear. And hold him for better offers than what is rumored.

He might… he might also drop off going from Heat Culture to whatever the hell it is we are now.

Clarkson’s per 36 stats during his time with here are pretty similar. Should just elevate him to a starring role and trade Don.

TJ also said we were making seismic changes to the roster

He said seismic changes were possible, but he didn't say it would for sure happen...and in fairness, the Jazz have been trying to trade Gobert. If they do get a Rudy trade done that will definitely be a seismic change.

Clarkson is super inefficient and they’re not very similar. I feel like you just talk to talk sometimes.

I don't think the Jazz are going to trade Mitchell this offseason. There's no reason to. They can see how things shake out, and if things get bad they can move him before the deadline or next offseason.

Not sure where to put this but it just feels like there was a significant shift in the last few days. The Hardy hire amidst some serious messaging changes from Locke and TJ feel like it’s pointing towards what almost everyone here knows needs to happen.

I do not envision Danny being high on Mitchell but wanting to extract every cent of value out of him on the market.

For those reasons, I am now sucked back into the drama. I was having a lot of luck in the previous days of not giving a **** but I’m right back in it.

Packages can be spent elsewhere and markets can dry up. The notion that these things are static is just nowhere near correct.

If the Knicks market dries up, the next closest suitor’s offer will maybe be half as good. That’s why Atlanta getting Murray was great news, but the Knicks are hellbent on making everything happen ASAP.

2.5% better overall, 9% better from 3 and 7% better from the line.
Clarkson Per36 with us: 22.8 points, 4.8 rebounds, 3.1 assists on 43/35/84 splits

Herro Per36 last season: 22.9 points, 5.5 rebounds, 4.4 assists on 45/40/87 splits

One is an inefficient chucker, the other is the Don replacement.

Clarkson makes $13M and Herro wants $25M+

The Knicks are in a hurry because their front office and coach could get fired by this time next year, or sooner.
