Trade Rumors Involving the Jazz

I find it funny that your response that DM didn't quit is always "well other players did it, too".

I don’t think you guys understand what quitting on a team means that’s what I’m trying to prove with your backward *** logic.

If you want to use that definition than I guess everyone quit on the team.

Im very very impressed that an unmotivated dude can put up 17 and 10 on 64%, 37%, and 75% shooting at just 23 years old. (And those numbers are in less than 30 minutes per game)
Imagine what he could do if a coach could squeeze the effort out of him or if he simply needs a bit of maturation.

Its a risk no doubt but if he were highly motivated already we would have no shot in hell at acquiring him.

That has been the motivated version though. He’s talented no doubt… but he’s had CP, Book, and Monty pushing him the last couple years… and finally it got to a point where Monty benched him. Monty is about as good as it gets for getting guys engaged.

When he came out of Arizona he was asked about his goals and mentioned he wanted to get to his second contract… he’s a late night video game guy… I just see some red flags there that would terrify me. It’s like Wiggins in Minny versus Wiggins in GS… if we aren’t a contender… he’s already gotten paid… why is he gonna do the hard stuff?

It all depends on price too… if we are talking Mike and the Philly first then no problem… I might consider the 23 Minny pick if it was protected. If we are trading Donovan then hell no to Ayton… if this is our last shot at building around him and the price is right then sure I guess.

It isn’t that he’s a bad guy… it’s more like the old AK stuff… he likes basketball… might even like it a lot. But does he love it and how competitive is he? That was one aspect about Rudy that is rare for a big.

I saw multiple possessions where they didn’t give effort on defense.

Okay, let me ask you -- why do you think the Jazz are actively trying to trade Donovan before he's had even one practice with the new coach? Isn't he supposed to be our star player? Isn't he supposed to be the guy that we're building around for the next 3 years?

I don't think you understand that you don't make the rules. You are a blowhard that thinks you know everything. You got Trump vibes going on.

And, please explain why giving half *** effort isn't quitting on your teams.

According to Woj, we aren’t actively looking to trade him at the moment.

The guy we actively looked to trade who was our supposed best player is in Minnesota already.

Andy Larsen said yesterday that the Jazz aren't just receiving trade calls for Donovan, they're making calls. Same situation as with Rudy.

Tony Jones said the Jazz aren’t looking to trade Mitchell either. If you choose to believe Andy vs those two that’s fine. I wouldn’t be surprised if we did trade him but your argument is invalid.

No… that’s not what you said lol. You literally said it means close to nothing.

There is not many teams that had 20/10 players that were bad either. Just a dumb misinformed statement is all.
Shareef Abdur-Rahim 20-10 on 25 win team
Antonio McDyess 20-10 on 14 win team and 34 win team
Elton Brand 20-10 on 15 win team, 16 win team and 28 win team team
Antoine Walker 20-10 on 33 win team

This is just by just checking the players that were 20-10 or thereabout in the 2000 season. This is a freaking waste of time. If you can't even admit you made a mistake in a post and then deleted it, then there is a zero chance you will change your mind based on soft interpretation of what I meant in a post.

I think the premise of your argument is dumb because all of those guys are good players. You basically are saying if they put those numbers up on a bad team they aren’t good players or it doesn’t mean anything which is just wrong.

Woj is represented by the same agency as Mitchell and has a track record of releasing what Mitchell wants released.

Tony repeats what the Jazz needs him to say, and right now Ainge is doing what he needs to do to get max value out of Don.

Just accept it… they are blowing it up and Don is getting the same treatment many of you got a laugh about with Rudy.

If a player puts up 20/10 it means he’s pretty good in todays day and age. Just because he is on a team with bad players doesn’t take that away.

My entire statement was Ayton would be 20/10 on our team next year. He’s a great player. Whether or not our team sucks will depend on if we keep Mitchell or not.

You didn't see Bogdanovic picking guys up full-court? He wasn't quick or had defensive feel but I don't think it's fair to question his effort.

I did but I also saw quarters where Donovan played great defense. Go read the game threads people were praising it.
