What's new

Woj: Don to the Cavs for Markkanen, Agbaji, Sexton, three unprotected 1sts, two swaps, and a partridge in a pear tree.

I thought Mitchell will never leave Utah.. not while he is in his prime. Man, I was so wrong. There must be something behind the scenes that we do not know.

Wow, come to find out the hold up was top-5 protections on a 1st from the Knicks side. This just keeps getting better and better.
Lol, they must not have had a lot of confidence in their ability to field a good team with Mitchell if the hold-up was top-5 protections.

Like, this isn't just some random vitriol. They really tried to **** us and they deserve consequences for that.
We kinda already did... I guess they thought we'd come back and just let them match another offer? Like in restricted FA or something. But it was clear other teams could make offers and it only takes 1 *******. They were never bidding against themselves and sometimes you have to pay 125% of what you think you need to when landing a star.

If they don't make the playoffs Thibs and Rose are both gone.

Getting Sexton for Eric Bledsoe money is an underrated part of this deal, imo.
I'm watching for a mid-season Mavericks trade, especially if he comes out guns blazing. If they deal him, then I think the trading of real players for picks will stop and then it's time to bake the cake. But we're not there yet.

Player A: 24/4/4 on 45/36/86 Per 100 possessions 9.7 3 pt attempts, 6.6 FT attempts

Player B: 24/4/3 on 47/37/81 Per 100 possessions 6.2 3 pt attempts, 8.9 FT attempts

Who would you prefer?

Fair point, but if the whole thing that broke this deal is a pick then they deserve to forfeit one. That is justice. That goes beyond just the malfeasance practitioners from the Knicks' side of negotiations being penalized.
